  1. Happy New Year! and still for sale....
  2. Hi there, sorry for slow reply, I was zoned out for Xmas visit by in laws! yes still for sale.
  3. [attachment=233817:DSC_0332.JPG][attachment=233818:DSC_0333.JPG][attachment=233819:DSC_0334.JPG][attachment=233820:IMG_20161211_215352.jpg] I've finally agreed with my wife that I've got too many basses and "stuff" so its time to start a clear out. This is first up... This is a very clean example of this bass. It has the original active circuit which is quite effective although I personally prefer the passive tone. The pots are a bit crackly if left unused for a while but respond well to switch cleaner when I use it. The only blemishes on the body are two minuscule indents that can only just be felt and are almost invisible. They are on either side of the shot with the 1p coin, each about 1 diameter coin distance away from the edge of the coin. The neck and fretboard are perfect. Its got a great tone, is quite light, and being headless has no head dive whatsover, all in all very easy to play. No trades please as I need to make space. I'm based in Tunbridge Wells and happy to meet up within a reasonable radius; I work in London every day so could meet up early evening. The bass comes in a slightly torn and insubstantial gig bag that would protect from superficial knocks but is probably ready for the bin. Price is £320 shipped, £300 collected. Thanks for looking, Mick
  4. Bought a Kent Armstrong pickup from Benedict. So well packed I'm going to get him do all my Christmas wrapping!
  5. Well just checked one more time and the buzzy sound seems to have gone. I notice I had refitted the speaker slightly rotated round from its original position so maybe that meant the wires no longer touched the speaker or maybe some dirt/dust got dislodged. Who knows? Many thanks to Messrs Pantherairsoft and Starr for keeping their eyes open fto pleas for help and advice, your replies were much appreciated, you are true gents...
  6. Thanks for the tips but still buzzing. Will dismantle it again and try to double check cables on speaker. Maybe listen with speaker away from cabinet.
  7. Just noticed an existing topic on buzzing/farting speakers so will follow that advice.... Ok followed the advice and buzzing, new speaker time?
  8. Hi folks, I have an EBS Neo 115 cabinet that has developed a buzzing noise when playing notes at a certain pitch. It sounds like a medium to low frequency buzz/rattle but I can't find anything loose such as the speaker mesh that is resonating. Anyone have any idea what might be causing it? The noise is centred on low A and reduces either side until its disappears after 3 semitones either way.
  9. Bump becauase I think this is a really useful bit of kit. I took a travel guitar with a Boss micro and my headphones on holiday and recorded some songs in hotel room while Mrs and daughter turned into toast by the side of a pool in Turkey over 2 weeks and we all came back thinking we had a good holiday. What's the odds on that? Plus you use it while they are "just getting ready" ... and edit the drum tracks. Just the tempo setting and menu navigation to get past but well worth it.
  10. Evening All After an evening dash in the recent thunderstorm monsoon season with 2 EBS cabinets swathed in bin liners does anyone know where you can get reasonably priced shower proof covers for cabinets/amps etc? Cheers Mick
  11. I meant to put it in the porn section but didn't realise it would end up here. If an admin person could move the post or tell me how I can? I was always dreadful at keeping diaries plus looking at the raw materials uinder selection and being worked is a bit like watching a butterfly pupa develop. It looks beautiful when it emerges but the shots of necks being glued etc along the way are a bit underwhelming. Even the wood for the top was a bit of a gamble as I wasn't sure how the finished article would look. It has a really beautiful detailed grain. I'll try and do some decent pics. Also the quality of build and finish surpassed my expectations. But then you Shuker owners out there already know that.
  12. Yet another one from Mr Shuker. Apologies for the photo quality, they don't do the finish justice but are probably a fair reflection on my photography capabilities. The spec is: 5 string bolt on neck Standard Shuker body shape with thinner body (36mm) Kingwood top with black veneer Headless with chrome ABM hardware 34" scale 24 frets 5 piece laminated neck (maple/ black sycamore pinstripes) Birds eye maple fretboard Two way truss rod Carbon fibre reinforcement White ash body Delano SBC pickups Shuker 3 band preamp Switches are: Active/active bypass (if the PP3s go in a hurry) Both pickups humbucking/both single coil/bridge humbucking + neck single coil [attachment=6057:P1020337.JPG] [attachment=6058:P1020338.JPG] Sounds better than it looks and that's saying something. From order to delivery took about 5 months but that was over Christmas and I dithered on some of the spec so I felt that was reasonable turnaround. Got pictures fairly regularly during the build process although nothing prepares you for the finished product and while Jon clearly doesn't keep his hand hovering over the phone I found him to be as contactable as needed given you want him actually building the thing and not doing photoshoots. I'll post some photos taken in daylight when I get a chance. I must get back to my drooling now...
  13. I had an Eden Metro which cut out once or twice but this seemed to get resolved when I took out the fuse and reinserted it. Maybe the fuse contacts can be a bit iffy? I had an attenuator go on an Eden cabinet once and took it to the Bass Centre wher it was fixed by their very helpful repair man called Chris. Not handy for you but you could extract the amp from the combo to reduce the bulk for shipping. If it needs technical expertise he seems to know his stuff. Hope you get it going - its so frustrating when these things go wrong.
