3. Is it wrong to just improvise 90% of this song, as i do, every gig we play? should i learn every one of fleas fills (improvs) note for note?

 8.
I think the deluxe is a totally different circuit rather than just a standard one with extra bells and whistles. It has 2 different octave sounds that you can blend together, a clean one similar to the EBS Octabass and a synthier growlier one similar to the Boss OC-2. It also has a mid boost switch to make it easier to hear the effect in a dense mix. I'm not 100% but I expect the tracking is probably also be better on the deluxe. If you want a cheap basic octaver then the standard one will do you, but personally I'd go for the deluxe (or the Aguilar Octamizer).
thanks matey, that clears things up
 9.
as the title says. What is the difference between the bass octave and the bass octave deluxe?
anyone?
 10. I've been checking out the T-Rex Feul Tank Junior and it looks like a nice piece of kit... mid range (pricewise i'd say from what i've seen)
 11.
i don't know (useless answer!!) - but if you decide to go with the older version, i have a mint condition boxed mxr bass octave on about page 3 of the effects for sale threads!!
PM me a price buddy
 12. as the title says. What is the difference between the bass octave and the bass octave deluxe?
 13.
i used to have a similar psu from maplins. should run your pedals fine, but in my experience noisy as hell, as not isolated. there's a reason it's cheap!
hmm, you are probably right...
 14. oh, before i go out and splash the cash, will that be ok for all the pedals i mentioned above? cheers
 15. thanks for all the replies folks. A great help as per is the norm here.
you don't have to spend a fortune just buy this : http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=31292
You my friend, win i love soundlab stuff and that could prove to be the boyo!! i'll nip up to Maplins tomorrow.
 16. Sorry, yeah i should have mentioned. Gonna be running a smallish board with: Bass Big Muff MXR bass octave deluxe (or EBS Octabass) A yet undecided Envelope Filter Boss pedal tuner (Tu-2 i think it is) maybe 1 more eventually.
 17. Hi guys, looking for a decent affordable (<£100) power supply (brick) for my impending pedal board. I never realised that they were so expensive!!! any suggestions? cheers
 18. Envelope filters....any i should check out?
 19.
Do you plan on permanently having some OD on your bass? If so then try an MF-101. I can't rate it high enough, but like I've said in other posts, some folk think it's a tone sucker, I don't.
No, just for the odd song or 2. Was thinking about the Bass big muff as i'm after more fuzz than distortion?
I really dig the EMMA pedals. The DiscumBOBulator is a great envelope filter(auto way), and the ReezaFRATzitz is a seriously underrated overdrive/distortion.
I quite fancy an envelope filter pedal, i'll check that out. cheers.
 20. i'll mainly be checking out sound clips etc of any suggestions first, which usually sees me right as far as pedal selection goes. normally i pick pedals based how i see them fitting into my live sound. i do agree multi effects would be the cheaper option though, although not something that interests me. thanks anyway though
 21. Why so? ive had multi effects pedals before and never really got on with them live.
 22. Hi Folks, ok, a bit of background. About 3 years ago i sold all of my Bass effects which were all boss individual pedals (overdrive, Flanger, Chorus, Sustainer and a Crybaby bass wah). After playing 'clean' for quite a while, ive decided to look into a new pedal board, that is where you lot come in. I wan't some recommendations on some effects to buy. Im completely open to suggestions and will consider almost anything. I do however want an overdrive/fuzz pedal that i can get a good Queens of the stone age sound out of. I also think i want either a wah or an auto wah as well as something a little quirky thanks Dan
 23.
Glad there are other fans out there. Ive got the Duff Sig and a 80s Jazz Special. if you're considering either get the Jazz Special. Ive also got a modded aerodyne like Duffs.
Love Duff, he has always been one of my biggest influences and in my opinion is a very underrated bass player.
