I was lusting after one of these VERY hard , can you describe the neck for me , how does it compare to say a standard Jazz I tend to use a 38 mm 70's profile fender type jazz he describes these as 40mm , i worry because I dont get on with the 42mm P type necks ... Plus are you planning on swapping the knobs to standard J ones ?
ive never played a 70s Jazz, but the neck on the Elwood feels very similar in terms of profile to the other jazz's I've owned, with the exception of the Geddy Lee I had. I didn't get on with that neck at all. I will be swapping out the knobs I think. Finish off the vintage look a treat. I stuck it through my amp for half an hour and it's got a lovely tone to it, especially as I've strung it with flats. Gonna let it sit for an hour or 2 so it can settle as the action was super low. Might need a little tweak but we'll see. First impressions; might buy a 2nd one.

Soooo, after being messed around by a seller on a facebook bass group and then subsequently not being able to find anything that took my fancy, I decided to take the plunge and order the Maruszcyzk that i'd wanted in the first place anyway. Looking forward to it turning up now. Exciting times!
Action is crazy high...any specs?
The action isn't high, It's actually pretty low. The angle of the photo just makes it look high. Spec: made in usa. It has the standard Jazz set-up, alder body, maple neck, rosewood fretboard, with 20 med/jumbo frets. The hardware is chrome the tuners are Fender stamped, the bridge is Fender Vintage style, and the pickups are Fender Alnico(passive). The chrome control panel has 2 volumes, and 1 tone. It has a satin lacquer finish in 3-color Sunburst. I have removed the white pickguard from mine and replaced with the tortoise shell. -

So I've finally reached that point in my life were Ive decided to hang up my bass for good. This has been my main bass for the last few years and I'm honestly sad to part with it. Fender Highway One (USA) Jazz Bass in Sunburst. Slightly relic'd, mainly from just general use but has been helped along in a few places. Comes with Hard case. £450 Posted Price includes Postage. I'll also include the 2 leads pictured and the DSL leather strap. It is also strung with a really nice set of D'adarrio flat wounds.

FS: Orange Crush Pix CR100BXT - SOLD

Selling my Orange Crush Pix CR100BXT bass amp. It is in like new condidtion. Its been gigged maybe 5 times max and has spent its life really not being used anywhere near as much as I'd have liked. It has been stored in a custom made cover the whole time I've had it (which is also included in the sale). It is 100w and sounds great. I bought it to use in an acoustic trio that never quite got going and it was more than loud enough to gig with without having to go through the PA. I'd guess it probably isnt powerful enough to use in a full electric band scenario on it's own. There is an MP3 player input which comes in handy when practicing on your own as well as all the other good stuff you expect to get from orange amps. It really is a great piece of kit. Paid £350 for ait a year or so ago, plue £50 for the case. Looking for £260 collected or can deliver locally (Newcastle/ Northumberland). Im willing to post this as well but at the buyers expense. (i'd imagine about £20 couriered?
