3.
I've just ordered the Fender 'Original' P-Bass pickup, which is the new name for their '62 re-issue, £60 on eBay. I've got a 2005 MIA that sounds a bit too polite, and I reckon this will give me the sound I'm looking for. Here's a Talkbass thread with a couple of clips comparing them to the Fender MIMs: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=576039 I've waded through quite a few threads on this subject, and generally the most commone answers are these Fender ones, Seymour Duncan SPB-1 / Antiquity, Lindy Fralin, DiMarzio. There's also the Wizard pickups, the Trad is probably your best bet.
quality, was looking at the seymour duncan ones. do you know the difference between the twin coil and the single coil in the antiquity range?
 4. what is the difference between these pickups and why such the big price difference? what tone benefits would the twin coil give over the single? http://www.seymourduncan.com/products/anti...104416_antiqui/ http://www.seymourduncan.com/products/anti...1104411_pickup/ really want some new pickups but just cant decide

 14.
Agree with you there! I foolishly sold my 70RI and have regretted it ever since, prompting me to pay through the nose to get one from Japan (which still hasn't arrived a week after it was posted )
yeah, i figure selling this to fund a new bass is no road i want to go down, so, i'll just wait til i can afford another one as well as rather than instead of

Looking for £450 plus postage (will be roughly £15 by courier) It plays absolutely lovely and i havent seen many of these (in fact none) of these around. Ive had it since new and it has been really well looked after. Spec: Olympic white CIJ precision Bass Baddass II bridge 62 RI vintage PUPs Case not included but i can chuck in either a Deluxe Ritter Gig bag or a fender one. Pics:

Hmmm...seems that badass looks too good to pass up.. oh dear, more spending!
Gotta love the baddass, i put them on all my fender basses. Love the subtle differences in tone and Resonance you get, not to mention how damn cool they look
