1. Wet and windy weekend bump. Also to point out the TE 2102 can be used as a monitor cab.
2. I bought the Steinberger, nice to deal with, very good comms, bass arrived quickly and well packed and was as described, thanks!
3. Hi Jay, Sorry but for what I'm selling the cab for its not worth the hassle of packing it up and arranging a courier. You are right Del, I did contact the person looking for the 2102 but he is in Holland so its unlikely it will go to him. Simon
Can you go on interparcel and get a courier quote to deliver to Liverpool (the Peavey) It's beautiful!
4. I need to get some space back and selling cabs would help. Trace Elliot 2102; Part of the multistack range, designed to be of a manageable size and weight these cabinets can be positioned at 3 angles and can be mixed with the V range of speakers. As Trace Elliott say the laws of physics mean the low frequency effiency of the multistack range is less than that of the V range but the porting has been designed to give optimum efficiency. Two heavy duty 10" speakers, 200W at 8 ohms, gives a light bright sound particularly suited to slap players. Approx dimensions are height 24.5", width 22.5", depth 17". I bought this cab last year from a basschatter, it was tested by a local technician and apart from replacing the 2 1/4" jack inputs is in good working order (there are also male and female xlr inputs) - but as you can see from the photos it has been well used. I paid £60 plus £10 for the service, I am selling for £60 collected from Gloucester *Sold pending delivery*. I may be able to deliver free of charge on Sunday 18th July if you are between Gloucester and Strood in Kent. I am also selling Peavey head and cabs http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=94690 Powered Mixer http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...t=0#entry489689

6. After over 10 years with the same bass bought my second off Clarky within a couple of months of the first. This time a 2009 Fender Jazz Bass, condition was as new, great communication from Clarky at every stage, even when I was away camping. bass arrived on the day requested and was well packed.
7. Sold to Nigel AKA bumnote, thanks for an easy transaction, sorry to evryone else who expressed an interest.
8.
I used to have a Peavey rig, and could never get the sound I liked out of it, but that may well have been down to the amp, so it may well be the solution to my budget-rig problems! If you could take some pics that would be great, thanks. I'll take some pics of the SWR cab tonight or tomorrow.
Some photos ox the Peavey 4 x 10 The last close up picture is not as much help as I'd thought, its supposed to be a close up of the worst tear. Hopefully that gives you some idea of what it looks like though. I like the sound of this and use it with the 2 x 10 at larger venues, the problem being there is more power going to the smaller cab due to the lower impedance which in the long term wont do the amp or the speakers much good.
9.
I wish you were up north I would have this in a second
My inlaws all live in Bolton and have never quite forgiven me for dragging the missis down to the West Country. We are supposed to be visiting the weekend 4th/5th July unless I am saved by a booking so worth bearing in mind depending on what happens in the meantime.
10.
Watson PM4150 powered mixer PA amp 4 channels all with mic/line inputs, high/low eq, monitor level, reverb/effect level and master level. 5 band graphic EQ Phantom power Individual Master/Aux/Reverb/Monitor controls Aux inputs 1/4" and red/white Effect send return Monitor output Mixer output Amp input 2 x 1/4" outputs to speakers. It says on the back its 100W into 8ohm so not sure where the 150 comes from on the model number. I've only used it for vocal and kick drum and there has been plenty of headroom left with the rest of the drum kit unmiked. Its only been gigged a couple of times and the rest of the time has been in a practice room and looks like new. It is carpeted with plastic lugs on the corners and a lot more sturdy than most of the new plastic mixers. Would be great as a PA or even monitor amp, I'm only selling it as I no longer use it and could use the money to aquire more bass gear. Pickup only, would consider a trade against a bass cab.
Bump Its got to be money well spent, practice that singing, buy a couple of speakers and thats one less person to split the gig earings with!
11.
Wish i lived closer to Gloucester! Would you consider posting??
Thanks for the character reference Clarky! The reason I discovered I like the narrower necks was the Clashalike copy. The case pictured is the one you sent your bass to me in, would have liked to have described it as less than 6 months old but in the couple of days parcel force had it it was artificially aged to some extent. Losttheplot, dont really want to post at this stage, if you want to PM me with your location I may be able to deliver it, I have relations scattered round the country who I visit for free food and drink when no gigs.
12. Have been reading this thread as I was sorting throught some cables I have at home, I suspect them to be speaker cables, some usefully have "speaker cable" printed by the manufacturer, some I have unscrewed the jacks and checked the wiring as dscribed earlier in this thread. Some though have moulded jacks, can I tell if it is speaker or instrument by the specs printed on the cable e.g. AWG 18 - 41/0.16 - 0.824mm2 - 6.0mm cheers
13. Fender Precison CIJ, 96/97, Sunburst, white s/p, maple neck, Fender hard case, nearly new Ernie Ball roundwounds. Serial number V032666 gives manufacturing date of 96/97 which ties in with the fact I aquired this nearly new in 1998 and still have the fender shipping tags and shop price tag for £574. There are a couple of light dings on the headstock and some light marking on the upper and lower sides of the bottom of the body probably caused by me pulling the lead round the strap, but nothing you can see without a really close inspection. As far as I am aware no alterations from new apart from the input jack replaced last year due to an annoying buzzing only audible when practicing and subsequently found to be due to an overhead flourescent tube (doh!) Lovely action and rich Fender P sound, the reason I am selling is I have discovered that I prefer a jazz style neck as I have relatively small hands. Price £380 collected from Gloucester, dont want to post but would consider delivery myself for petrol money. Would trade for a Fender Jap/USA jazz bass and could pay extra cash for the right bass. I'm happy for anyone interested in this to give it a try before purchase as I'm sure you will like it.
14.
I'm looking to up-scale my rig to a 4x10 and 2x10 stack, so I'm looking to trade my 4ohm SWR Goliath Jr III (300w?) for an 8ohm 2x10 or 4x10. My only stipulation is that it must have input and output as my amp only has one output so I'll need to chain them. Cash either way depending, but I'd be happiest with a straight swap, so something of equal quality would be preferred, and Midlands based would help. Anyone got anything they'd like to trade?
Ive got a Peavey 410T 4x10 with horn 8ohm running with a 210TVX 4 ohm and interested in trading the 410T for a 4 ohm cab. The 410T has 2 1/4" inputs, I've never tried chaining another cab before but tried it with a Trace Elliott 2 x 10 8 ohm and it worked fine. The only bad news is the fit of the lead into the socket I dont normally use was slightly loose but if you are interested I would put 2 new sockets in. Cab is vinyl covered with metal lugs at the corners, there are a couple of small tears at the edges but overall good condition. I'm in Gloucester, if thats of any interest let me know and I'll take some photos.
15. I have a Digitech BP200 bass processor. One of the pedals has stopped working, I can only scroll down through the presets (not back up) and cannot use the tuner. As I only use 2 presets I mostly use this for the tuner and as a DI box but would be worth fixing if not too costly. Anyone know where I could get this done? Closer to Gloucester the better.

17. Bought Clarkys Paul Simonon copy P bass. Bass was dispatched quickly. packed well and I was kept informed at every stage. I was a bit apprehensive about buying a bass unseen but was reassured by previous feedback and would say to anyone else thinking of purchasing from him to have absolute confidence in the gear and the friendly and competant way he handles the tranactions. Thanks Clarky!!
18. Hi Jem, Please PM/phone me with your address and contact number so I can sort out some directions before I set off tomorrow, if better for you could call in on way down about 9.00 ish. cheers Simon
19. Bought a Peavey 450Max bass amp from Martin. I live close to him and he was happy for me to pick up straight away and to give the amp a tryout with the offer of my money back if not as described. Didnt need to take up this offer as the amp was in great condition and performed as expected. Would not hesitate the buy from again, unfortunately the EBS neo 2 x 10 is out of price range at the moment!
20. Hi Martin I'm interested in this, only just joined this site, how can we exchange contact details without posting on the forum? cheers Simon
