Here is my ACG Salace E-Type. Strictly speaking this is 31.5” scale, but hopefully you can let me off. What’s half an inch between friends? Spec for anyone that cares… Salace E Type Headless 5 string (strung E-C) Paulownia body with Indian Cedar top 5 piece Ash/Purpleheart bolt on neck Wenge fingerboard with 30" radius Hipshot hardware (18mm string spacing) East Uni-Pre 4k preamp 2x ACG FB pickups, with a Wenge (to match the fretboard) ramp between them Weighs an impressively low 6.8lbs.

Up for grabs - the pedal I thought I'd never sell, but GAS is a cruel mistress and my solo ambient bass noodling isn't something that's getting a lot of focus right now. Incredible granular delay, micro looper, ambient soundscape generator. So good that sometimes it feels like cheating at music! This is boxed, in perfect condition, never gigged, with manual and power supply. Has velcro on the underside. Postage in the UK is £5, or collection in Derby welcomed.

One of many transactions with Higgie over the years - picked up his Funky Puppy pedal last week. Easy transaction and perfect comms. Pedal arrived well packed and as described. Many thanks!

Yeah, I used to own the 1210. And everything above is kinda the point of my question… all the guitar reviews say “it’s as good as the original, despite the changes”, but there’s no bass comparisons out there at all. Which is odd, given how long it’s been out. I’m just interested in the experiences of anyone that has the reissue and has compared it to other chorus pedals.
-
Cool. I’m particularly interested in how it stands up in mono as a chorus on bass. Low end retention? Enough bite to give it the presence of stuff like the Julia, Waterfall or Anadime etc. Appreciate any insight you have. Unrelated, but did you get the black or gold enclosure. Interested if the bling of the gold is cool enough to justify it actually costing more! Ha The fact that this pedal was once so loved and has come down in price (almost unheard of) is unusual. £69 new is pretty excellent.

Post your pedal board - Basschat style!!

Origin Effects thanks you for the endorsement! -
I know this thread is years old, but I thought it worth resurrecting rather than starting a new one. Has anyone actually tried the reissue on bass? Given how popular the old one was (I know, back then, chorus options were limited), I’ve been mega surprised to find pretty much zero demos of the reissue on bass. Someone must have given it a whirl and can compare it to the other big players in the bass chorus world?

Two in one day! Funky Puppy from @Higgie. Basically an accurate clone of the Chunk Systems Brown Dog and Agent 00Funk in one box.

Mr Black Gilamondo Throwback Edition Eight stage phaser and damn, it sounds better than I hoped for!

Wicked little analogue drum machine. Built in drive circuits gets you that nasty Nine Inch Nails drum sound with ease, but works for most styles. Very good sequencer for building out tracks. Excellent condition, boxed, with power supply etc. Asking £160 + £5 postage. Collection in Derby is welcomed.

Amazing synth unit design for ambient textures and soundscapes. Can be battery powered and even has a built in speaker for impromptu jamming. Excellent condition, full working order. No box or manual (manual available on the Sonicware website), but power supply included (which doesn’t come as standard). Asking £165 + £5 postage. Collection in Derby is welcomed.

Ampeg SGT-DI question, and interference issue with 5.8Ghz wireless.
pantherairsoft replied to dave_bass5's topic in Effects
Apologies, yo humean the little position switch! As I recall it did nothing, along with the volume/grit knob when the SGT foot switch was not enabled. Hopefully someone that still has one will come along soon and confirm. -
Ampeg SGT-DI question, and interference issue with 5.8Ghz wireless.
pantherairsoft replied to dave_bass5's topic in Effects
I've not had one for a while, but used to use it a lot. As I recall, the knob on the far left is the volume and compression, which only applies to the signal when you activate the preamp switch, and the knob on the far right is the volume and grit (distortion), that only applies to the signal when you activate the SGT switch (which gives you the B-15 tube tone). When the SGT switch is off, the volume/grit knob does nothing to the signal. -

Yeah, I don’t think I’ve ever seen one in a store. I tried one at a Bash Bash and was blown away - this is like you describe… strange speaker mounting. It’s one forward facing and another side facing, giving you a 212 in a box not much bigger than a 112. I was so impressed, I made an offer to the guy and bought it off him. I’ve never seen another in the flesh. I played Nottingham Rock City using this rig, and the sound man took the bass out of the PA due to the volume on stage. Afterwards he remarked how he’d never heard a rig so loud and punchy and was very fused that it wasn’t an 810. It’s an odd thing, but it works! I know the current line of cabs are somewhat different. I’m not sure what made them change design, but I’ve seen plenty of reports that the new cabs don’t stand up to this - they’re great, but don’t have anything that makes them stand apart from the competition. I’d still like to try a new one to see how it compares. -
You can't really go wrong with the Grey Stache, or pretty much any fuzz from Fuzzrocious to be fair. I miss my kid-paint stache with the gate. It was a bit of a monster!

Montreal Assembly PURPLL (white edition) - *SOLD*

STANDARD EDITION SOLD! Up for grabs is one of two or my Dr. Scientist Dusks. Such a great pedal, I own it twice. Only one is for sale, but I don't mind which. When one sells, the other will be withdrawn. This is the ultimate sweepable filter for me. It replaced both the Moog MF-101 and the IE Xerograph for me, and still, to my ear, is the sweetest sweepable filter out there. As a stand alone envelope filter and LFO generator it certainly delivers as well, but with an expression pedal for huge resonant synth swells is where it shines. I'm asking for £160 for the standard edition, or £200 for the very limited black-out edition. Note that the black out does have all the same text on the front, it's just back (2nd image with light shining on it shows you it's there). The black-out isn't being made again. £5 postage, or collection in Derby. Both in excellent condition, and boxed. Only part-ex that I'd be interested in is a Walrus Julia V2 or Walrus Polychrome (or both!). Any questions, please ask.

Awesome multi-modulation from Boss. Some of the best bass chorus and flanger tones, as well as great tremolos and a good portion of the standalone slicer pedal all one unit. I find myself wanting to stack modulation more and more, so am moving back to single pedals. Great condition. Also have the box and manual (not pictured). Asking £150 + £5 postage. Collection in Derby is welcomed. Only part-ex that I'd be interested in is a Walrus Julia V2 or Walrus Polychrome (or both!). Any questions, please ask.

Up for grabs is my Montreal Assembly PURPLL. Now seemingly rare (not that they were ever common). One of the nicest PLL pedals out there, true harmonic chaos in pedal form. I've had great fun from this on both bass and synth, but it's time to fund other things and give someone else a total riot! This is a white enclosure edition, which I understand was a limited run. Pedal is in immaculate condition (and pretty sure I have the box for it too). Asking £200 + £5 postage. Collection in Derby is welcomed. Only part-ex that I'd be interested in is a Walrus Julia V2 or Walrus Polychrome (or both!). Any questions, please ask!

Schroeder/Markbass setup - blown away!
pantherairsoft replied to pantherairsoft's topic in Amps and Cabs
I was recently on a gear kick and realised that one part of my set up that I just have no desire to change at all was my amp and cab. I posted this thread over 7 years ago and I'm still using the exact same amp and cab (and cable in the pic). Still in tone heaven. It was a really hard move away from the Barefaced Big Twin T I had at the time, and it was even harder resisting going for a smaller barefaced... but having tried the 1212L in person, I couldn't deny what my ears told me. I dread the day either of these give up the ghost! ha
