Hi people, It's been a while since I added to this... so here is my new arrival... GB Spitfire Duck-Egg Blue with god-knows-what colour scratch plate :-) Ash body Tiger-Stripe Maple neck Indian Rosewood Board Chrome and Matt Grey hardware 19mm string spacing, 35" scale Crazy GB Electronics, including the Metronome and Tuner upgrades It's worth noting that due to lighting the Spitfire appears quite different in terms of how 'bright' the blue is on various shots... The second and third shots (body front close ups) are the most accurate... the others border on electric blue which the bass is actually quite far from.

+1 to what Jazz said! :-) And here are a few pics of mine.... Ash Body - Finished in Duck egg blue, with matching headstock Tiger-Stripe Maple neck Indian Rosewood Board All the usual crazy electronics, including the tuner and metronome 19mm string spacing 35" scale Surprising light as well! Notice the scratch plate... no screws... held on by Goodfellow magic! More pics in my Gear thread Took a while to get the neck and action right due to shipping in the cold... something Bernie was reluctant to do but I insisted! 2 days later... here we are, plays great, action is low and feels perfect to my hands. Tonally it is absolutely stunning. A little less 'Natural' bass than my Overwater, but with the huge boost the EQ can give you I can match that easily. Top end... well... like nothing on the planet. Bernie and the guys really have thought of everything as well... when I first plugged it in, the metronome was deafening and I was initially a tad worried that it would be unusable... but then he called me, to make sure I had received it and was happy with everything (Quality after service!) and talked me though the internal control system for it so I could turn it down. Very happy, stunning bass... :-)

Externally, the scratch plate is different and the pick up in a slightly different place, but I can't recall what else, or which is which. When I had mine about 7 years ago the head stock said Status Shark II, which is the only reason I know a 'II' model exists... If you look at the version on the bay, the scratch plate does not have the 'horn' with the dials mounted on it and th pick up is further back... Yours is prettier the way it is though without a doubt!

Many of the older Boss pedals do seem to be at least as good as the current range, most better. Not had the chance to try a vintage delay, but I do like my DD-3. Go for the flanger... In fact, buy mine!
Good to hear that you've got something sorted. Your cab sounds fantastic and would suit me down to the ground, but a round trip from newcastle to collect it would add another fifty or sixty quid to the price in fuel, and a whole day's travel Ebay seems really sluggish at the moment - which is another reason I can't offer you what you want, as my two basses didn't even reach their reserve prices and I just don't have £650 hanging around at the mo... Another "deal of the century" slips through my fingers!!
No worries dude, and I totally understand the journey... Given the weather at the mo it makes that part even worse! I have had a few deal of the century's fall through recently as well... It must be the season for it! :-) -
shep YOU NEED TO KEEP IT, you will regret selling.
I can't mate. It's just too big for a man living on the 9th floor and I'm not touring or playing big gigs so this needs to go to a good home. I have a Barefaced T'Double Midget on the way which will be plenty loud enough for anything I see myself doing in the near future, and is far more realistic for where I live. Me and Mike have a deal worked out that suits us both if I don't get the asking price in the next few days. All good! -

I know, I know... Still here crazy! Right, here is the score... The cab was listed in eBay until today and as it has not sold I will not be relisting it. I will take the full asking of £650 and not a penny less, no part ex, no trades. That's more than a fair price and one I'm not shifting on. If no one comes up with the £650 then this cab will be going to Mike_SuperThursday first thing in the new year in a deal which suits us both enough to make it work. Basically if you are considering this cab still, you have very little time to strike. Shep -
