1. Hey folks. Dangerboy used to have a huge feedback thread will loads and loads of positive comments. Unfortunately I managed to delete and/or destroy it in the process of merging it with a duplicate thread for feedback he had. As such, until I have managed to recover the thread from the backup server, please accept this post as the equivalent of about 30 posts of positive feedback!! ---------- Dangerboy bought a Synth off me recently, prompt payment and great communication. All good! Cheers Shep P.S. Sorry about the thread screw up!
2. And a Subdecay Noisebox. Packed well, sent quick and arrived safe. All good! Shep
3.
ta, i'll investigate.
If that fails Si, Drop Max @ SFX an email… he'll sort you out something to your exacting specification.
4.
Ok not sure how I managed to do this but i wanted this in the post you board section!!! If anyone could move it would be good!!
ta da! Moved Nice setup!
5. Clearing out the bits box and found the following I'm not using... Bespeco Volume/Expression pedal. Boxed. Great condition. Not a great deal more that can be said about it really I'll chuck in a stereo jack-jack lead to connect it up for another couple of quid if you don't already have one. SOLD! Bespeco Non-Latching footswitch. Perfect for use on pedals which accept a tap temp switch like delay etc. Can also be used as a sustain pedal for synths etc. £10 posted. Any questions, fire me a PM. Shep
6.
ooo, I didn't think about putting the slicer at the end of the chain!
I've tried it absolutely everywhere but the end is 100x better. I think of it as a kind of sequencer that I 'play along to'. My effects chain generates my sound and then the slicer adds a rhythm that I join in with at the end. Putting effects after it seems to make your core signal a little muddy as all the sounds go haywire with the slicers pattern. Try it!
7.
Hey Shep, eubassix has one cheers Keith
Cheers for the heads up Keith, I've PM'd him. BUMP!! Shep
8. Here's a cool little vid of what it can do just on it's own - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1MWDViXB9o8...be_gdata_player Loads more vids on YouTube including how it performs being fed with an Audio Signal. Enjoy! Shep
9. I was thinking the same thing a few days ago. It would definitely be useful. Hopefully when Kiwi & Ped's search for a new web developer has finished, the new upgrades that are planned will allow such tweaking. I think this is one idea that everyone would agree is a good one. Shep
10. A few folks on this very thread use the M9 now as part of the electronica set up. Dan Owens does. Worth noting that John Davis of nerve uses one for all his modulation effects now as well, so I'd say it's very suitable!
11. SOLD Recently acquired this on Basschat, Fantastic bit of kit, absolutely huge amount of control over more grooves and patterns than you know what to do with, delay, modulation, waveform and a great filter section. Fantastic for anyone into electronica. Also generates midi-clock and allows you to run it in line through your amp with your bass playing along... Wicked! I have a range of similar equipment already but bought this for a specific role and the only reason I'm selling... I don't like the sound of the Metronome! I know that sounds silly but I'm used to having a click down my ear and can't deal with a beep instead! Lol. This is boxed, with official power supply and the manual. Fantastic condition. Hopefully AJ doesn't mind me using the pics from his sale thread... I paid £100 for this, which given what they are selling for online was a bargain. It's had another couple of weeks use so call it [s]£95[/s] [s]£80[/s] £75 posted in the UK. Also interested in trades/part ex on the following... EBS MultiComp or other decent bass compressor Loop pedal (RC-2 etc) or Any interesting drum/percussion stuff particuarly odd cymbals (Chopper/Trashformer etc). 12. Great stuff dude. Real nice breakbeat/jazz fusion kinda vibe. Lovely tone and disgusting technique
13. Well after a few weeks of studio time I've managed to figure out which bits and bobs work and don't work for m on the board and I've also acquired a few bits and bobs and changed the way in which I use a few of the pedals as well. I also have just received my Gigrig Modular Power system. It is an expensive approach compared to many power systems, buy not compared to buying 3 Flatliners etc to run the board off. The powering system will run my entire board, with mixed polarities, voltages from 9-24 including the AC powered Whammy IV and all of 1 mains plug! Again, expensive, but worth it I feel given I currently use 8 mains plugs. The only thing that won't be powered by the Gigrig will be my Moog MP-201. The 'final' (how many times have i said that?) has 15 pedals on it. I removed the LS-2 and dual channel set up for now as it adds a huge amount of cabling for something I don't really utilise. The signal chain and set u looks something like this… BASS —> Digitech Whammy IV —> Boss OC-2 —> Moogerfooger MF-107 FreqBox —> (Dirt Section) Subdecay Noisebox —> Tech 21 Red Ripper —> Myrtle Effects Corvid Fuzz —> (Filter Section) MarkBass Super Synth —> 3Leaf Audio Groove Regulator —> Moogerfooger MF-101 Low Pass Filter —> EHX Bass MicroSynth (Original) —> EBS Unichorus —> (Modulation Section) Moogerfooger MF-103 12-Stage Phaser —> Moogerfooger MF-102 Ring Modulator —> Boss DD-20 Giga Delay —> Boss SL-20 Slicer —> AMP Pics up soon followed by a review of the Gigrig Modular Power System. Shep
14. I don't have my supplies etc here at home but I'm pretty sure most 9v pedals can take up to 12v (although not all sound like they like it). I'm sure there was a thread some time ago where someone pushed a Boss ODB-3 over 12v and basically destroyed it... Shep
15. ALL SORTED Hey, I have a perfect condition, fully boxed MarkBass Little Mark 250. Great little amp that weighs nothing. I run it with an EA Wizzy 10 and it all fits in a backpack and is the perfect small gig set up. The MarkBass 250 has clarity and punch and I know there are many MarkBass fans around bass chat. For mean, the choice of this amp was weight. However, last night I used a friends Iamp Micro 300, which whilst I have heard many mixed reviews about them... And they generally seem to be far less popular that the MarkBass head, it just did it for me. So I'd be interested to trade my MarkBass for your EA. I would consider other Iamp heads, but it's only being fed into a single Wizzy 10 so I would be unlikely to look at anything much more powerful due to the cabs power handling (250w). Shep
16. Take a trip down to Nottingham... See my MP-201 feeding Triangle waves into the LPF Cutoff and SawTooth into the Resonance and money will mean nothing in comparison to owning one
17. Or an MP-201... LFO heaven
18. Not just you... Me too. It's being looked at Shep
19. LFO = Low Frequency Oscillator. In simple terms - Something that makes a specific waveform pattern (such a a Triangle Wave as a Tremolo). Modulation type effects, are in their simplest terms LFO's... But also certain equipment can generate LFO's to drive other pedals. More info on Dan's blog - http://mrdfowens.tumblr.com/post/147917138...-bass-guitarist Shep
20. All good there man. Get a Tremolo after that or an LFO on the Cutoff of the LPF and that's dubstep heaven. Shep
21. Another easy transaction with Si. Traded a pedal with him. Even let me test it out at a few rehearsals before committing to the the trade. Top man. Cheers Shep
22. Andy bought my Diago Powerstation. Easy transaction. Top bloke. Cheers Shep
23. Bought my Guyatone Phase Shifter. Easy transaction and great communication. All very happy! Cheers Shep
24.
I will be speaking to Bernie later this year about a Spitfire in blue, like the other Sheps 5 string from a while back :-) Tony
Ah that was a stunner…
