9.
When I was fooling around with my Yamaha BB414 recently, I found that the pickup selector switch didn´t let me solo the neck pickup. I opened the electrics compartment and found that one of the two plastic clamps that hold the top and bottom parts of the switch together had broken - no contact in the neck position. Got a piece of coated wire and strung the damn thing together again - works perfectly. Not a very elegant solution but certainly more solid than the original design.
I "repaired" an electro-acoustic by adding a bit of folded card behind the battery so it stopped it from moving in the compartment and cutting out the signal. I also "repaired" an active bass with no output by putting a battery into the empty compartment.

16. Kubicki trade ?
17.
Hi Paul, I have a few questions re the Kubicki. 1. Is it the 18v version (i.e. 2 batteries) 2. Is it a later "Fender Custom Shop" or the ealier model with the oval logo on the back of the headstock. 3. Does it have an ebony fingerboard? 4. Is it White, or Pearl? 5. Does it have a Kubicki case Also would it be Ok to come try it? where abouts in the country do you live?? thanks for the info Andy
1. 18v Kubicki preamp - 6 positions including off, as opposed to the 5 position version that ended up in the Urge 2. 1989 Fender Custom Shop (Oval logo). 3. Ebony board. 4. White, faded to cream. 5. It has a case, but not a Kubicki one. It has a few dings, and there are three cracks in the finish - one between neck and neck pickup and two at the neck/body joint. I'm in Northampton - you're welcome to come and try it.
18. Kubicki ?
19. yes, thanks for that observation.. £650.00
20. ... for this week at least, I will take £650 in cash, no trades .
21. the Yamaha SBV800MF is still for sale, along with the 1960s SB-2
22. I've got an urge to play a bit of acoustic guitar when I'm not playing bass, so this, while very nice, has to go. Unless you have a nice acoustic to trade, I'll only be looking to sell this time (unless it's for something easy to sell, like a Ricky 4003) P.
23. I liked the b version of the Dod, because you can blend the original signal and a) not have such big volume spikes and not lose all the low end of the signal
24. I traded it for the Status 6 which I was asking £750 for, so something along those lines, really.
