  1. What a stunner that is. The necks on these Laky DJ's are just THE best.
  2. Musically I mean... I remember when this first came out in 87.... It was played on Radio 1 and various other stations endlessly.. I just cant imagine, even how epic this record is it would be played on mainstream radio stations today. Aids, Heroin, Crack, etc etc.. I just haven't heard a record this profound played on a mainstream music station in a long long time.... Sign O The Times.? Or maybe main stream music isn't as good as this anymore.
  3. NooooooooOOoo.. Jazz basses are so cool looking.. but you might not find my wife attractive. Thats how much this thread means.
  4. BC Rich, Gibson SG, Warwick Buzzard, Warwick Dolphin, T Bird, but what the fxxk do I know. It doesnt really matter though does it. Marcus Miller could make the same music on any of these basses and it would still sound epic.

  6. I watched the SBL Podcast with him and he comes across as very humble polite man. What a monster player he is. Too busy.? Maybe depends on your perspective but this guy knows his bass playing inside and out. I personally love hearing what these Gospel cats can do. Its like watching a Lamborghini of the bass world. Better to have it and not use than not have it in the vocabulary.
  7. Brian Bromberg is a Beast and I didnt know it.. And because I dont much care for the Beatles ive grown to appreciate Mr Mcartneys bass playing. Ok this isn't the Beatles but what a bass line. Its so musical and totally propels the record. There is a live version when he plays this line and sings. Fantastic record also.
  8. I would way rather have a used 90s SR5..
  9. Ok im done Bill Conti,s finest.
  10. Maybe now.?
  11. This score for Dirty Harry by Lalo Schifrin is epic.
  12. Its the greatest intro to any Incognito album imo. Randy HOPE Taylor on a Moon bass. His playing is insane musical groove.
  13. Mike Post was imo a genius. . He just had a knack of penning a short piece of music for a tv program. It was usually a full song. but edited it... Who can not think of this when Mike Post wrote something.... The A Team, The Rockford Files, Law and Order, Quantum Leap.
  14. That was written by Mike Post. No idea who the bass player was. Could have been any session guy who was in the area at the time.
  15. The guitar solo on this @ 3.50 is just phenomenal.
  16. Ive seen this band sooooooo many times I cant remember. The Jazz Cafe in London stand out to me and my sister as the best to be honest. They never disappoint as the musicians they/Bluey have are just so incredibly talented. A couple of records on this album that are just smoking imo.. Me and my sister in the late 90s used to think they were very trendy, then we realised they went way past trends. Who's doesn't like Francis Hylton on an Atelier Z jazz bass laying down a groove. Just wonderful guitar solos on both. I love alot of different music but the mighty Incognito tick so many boxes for me. But thats just me
  17. 😆.. Yeah maybe. Its not the music its me, which I said a version of that to a girl once. I get it, I recognise them as great songs, but the songs just dont do it for me. The rhythms of alot of songs, the chord changes etc etc,, I dont like the color teal, so thats about how much my opinion matters.. But.... I find a sniff of euro pop about them.
