2. Saw it in the cinema last week & it's very good. Dave Grohl's shameless brown-nosing is a bit stomach churning though.
3. George Murray. Paul Gardiner.
4. Fernando is great to deal with. I bought one of my Zons from him a while back. He's got an awesome collection of basses too.
5.
Calling EBS_Freak and his tales of carbon neck troubles recently
I missed this - link please someone?
6. I want the '52 reissue Telecaster - it's a f***ing KILLER!
7. Don't waste hours/years of valuable practice time hanging around on internet forums.

Final bump before I keep it & stick a Status neck on it.
9. Allparts will do it all (the only strings they sell are generic ones though): http://www.allparts.uk.com/
10. Mixing gold & chrome hardware will look sh*t. If the price of the gold ones on Ebay is too good to miss, just give them a good going over with some Brasso & a rag - that'll get rid of the gold plating in no time.
11. Ty Tabor.

Still available bump.
Don't know if you'd be interested but have £700 cash. Cheers David
Thanks for the offer but I don't really want to go below my asking price - if it doesn't sell at £750.00 I'm hanging on to it.
15.
The reason they were not kept is that they did not have the same tone as the Pre-CBS models.
Pre CBS Stingrays?

17.
I'm from Cardiff and I play a little Bass...
An Ashbory?
18. I'd go with Bartolinis - got them in both my graphite necked Zons & they sound superb (well, to me they do). If you want a darker sound maybe active pickups isn't the way to go - a good passive Jazz set might be more suitable.
19.
Almost 100% its .66 at bridge Tx
I hope that's inches & not millimetres.
20. That's lovely! Do you know what the string spacing is at the bridge please?
21. Give Colin Edwin from Porcupine Tree a listen. They can be quite Floydish but can also be heavy as f***.
22. Howdy! I'm another Cardiffian. (Can't stand the place personally but there you go.......)
23. If you want it & you can afford it then buy it. I haven't gigged for 5 years & have absolutely no intention whatsoever of doing so again. Since that last gig I've bought the most expensive load of gear I've ever had. I love my Zons & don't see why I should downgrade my gear just because I'm not in a band anymore.
24. I'm thinking of getting a Status Graphite neck for my recently acquired Stingray 5. I've played nothing but graphite necks for the last couple of years & although I love the Stingray I just don't like the feel of the wooden neck. Anybody know what a reasonable price would be to ask for the wooden neck (maple/maple) were I to sell it? It's totally mint. Thanks.
25.
Compare it with American customer service. I e-mailed Avatar Speakers on New Years Day, and got an e-mail back from them yesterday.
I had just as many problems with US companies as with UK ones. I've been trying to get an answer from Musicman customer services for weeks - I'd heard lots about how fantastic their customer services are but I've found them to be completely useless. Zon are the same - bloody hopeless at replying to emails.
I personally have a phone phobia. I hate phones - this stems from a job I once had whereby if my personal line rang it was always a problem, hence I associate phones with problems.
I'm the same. I hate the bloody things. If the phone rings in our house & there's nobody else in then it doesn't get answered. If I have to phone someone for any reason I have to spend 15 minutes or so psyching myself up for it.
