  4. I remember reading in Nick Mason's autobiography that Rick Wright was kept on as a paid session player for the massively expensive Wall tour, so he was the only one of the four of them that actually made any money from playing it live. Animals is my favourite Pink Floyd album so I'm looking forward to hearing the new mix.
  5. Spine - Machine Head
  6. Not Guilty - Georgie Harrison
  7. Plastic Man - Kinks
  8. Definitely not butt ugly!
  9. What Lurks on Channel X? - Robert Zombie
  10. If you mean participating with other musicians, then my first was Walking In The Air from The Snowman - school Xmas concert, 1995, on my £20 Eros Gibson copy. I pretty much confined myself to root notes throughout as I'd only been playing a couple of months.
  11. All this talk of Wishbass has reminded me of this absolute treasure:
  12. Dog-Like Sparky - Cardiacs
  13. In The Grip Of A Tyrefitter's Hand - Budgie
  14. DIRTY BOY - Cardiacs
  15. Ideal for large-handed scaffolders, farm workers and mature students.

  17. Same here. I saw them at the 'intimate' New Cross Inn and it was an absolutely magnificent night. So Thijs can't hit the high notes anymore - he's in his 70s, that's not surprising. But his organ and flute playing are as good as they ever were and the band are furiously good. I've always thought a band/artist should go on for as long as they want to - who are we to begrudge them their right to play their music? That said, the current incarnation of Yes (No) has forced me to reconsider my position. They are offensively bad, to the point where they simply aren't capable of playing the music - Geoffrey Downes, I'm looking at you.
  18. He's A Whore - Cheap Trick
  19. Ready For Drowning - Manic Street Preachers
  20. Slash And Burn - Manic Street Preachers
  21. Go Now - Bloody Mues
  22. We Agree - Yes
  23. I'll take some persuading on the bow, but the sculpted body looks magnificent - it reminds me a bit of the old Ibanez Ergodyne approach. I'd love to try one!
  24. Pork and Beans - Weezer
