  1. I'm in two minds about this - this is the third Starfire I've owned as I regretted selling the others, but I think I need to accept the short scale and skinny neck aren't really working for me! It's a shame as the sound is wonderful. Tonally, add a bit of drive and it's instant Jack Casady/Jefferson Airplane. It can really roar. It's been recently set up with TI flats. The bass is in superb condition, just some very, very minor light marks to the top edge of the headstock and the bottom edge of the body. Hardly noticeable. Original Guild hardcase included. Collection from Dartford preferred, could possibly meet up too if not too far.
  2. Geezer really didn't want to do that bass solo 😄 It is great though, greasy as hell. It's a shame the rest of the song is a Custard Pie ripoff.
  3. There's a brief clip on the Last Supper DVD of Geezer soundchecking this song, his Vigier tone is incredible.
  4. Sabotage is my favourite Sabbath album, in fact it's possibly my favourite album ever, but I think Geezer's best work is on the earlier one-take albums with little in the way of overdubs or extravagant production. I'll probably go for Master Of Reality as Geezer's finest hour, the whole album is one long bass solo.
  5. Suite In C Including Turnham Green - McDonald and Giles
  6. Is that "no box" or "I might be able to find the box"? 😁
  7. I haven't played this particular bass but looking at this one the only feature it has comparable to the Thunderbird is a vaguely similar body shape. People complain about the neck dive on ordinary 'birds, this one's going to be off the scale!
  8. Cheer Up Boys, Your Make Up Is Running - Foo Fighters
  9. The Fall Of The House Of Usher - Alan Parsons Project
  10. One of the greatest metal albums ever to one of the worst... Planet Smasher - Devin Townsend
