  2. The power of editing. We only saw the other bass players play one bar of Bells, by no means a difficult song - perhaps it took them a few minutes to loosen up a bit? I'd certainly have been nervous! I'm sure even Geordie White managed to play in in tune at some point but that's not the clip they used. I'm not doubting Trujillo's abilities for a moment but even his audition clip is a montage. I always thought the woman who played with them at the fan club day was great!
  3. Why are you hiding such remarkable instruments behind the straps?!

  5. For sale, my Ibanez EDC705, circa 2000. Near immaculate condition, no wear, scratches or knocks to the body or neck apart from a very small (2mm) paintwork chip on the back edge of the headstock and a larger (1cm) area on the inside of the body horn where the finish was starting to chip - this has been professionally repaired and is hardly noticeable. The controls all work smoothly with no crackle or interference. The bass has been set up with DR strings and has a very low action. I'm selling to help cover a recent purchase so I can't consider straight trades but could potentially consider pedals etc. as part-ex. Collection or local meeting only.
  6. Beard twitcher here! But I'm able to do so as someone who was lucky enough to see Pantera a couple of times back in the day. There must be plenty of younger fans eager to hear that music live but for me, nah. And also, Anselmo.

  9. With a load of duct tape holding the strap on. On to the body I mean, not holding a... never mind.
  10. I wouldn't recommend it. Upright strings are far too long for a start.
  11. What bass are you playing at the moment? Are struggling to play when sitting or standing? A shorter neck is always going to be easier on the old finger stretches, but it might not be the scale length of your current bass that's causing difficulties.
