  1. I’ve picked the amp up today and measured the feet centres. Lengthwise the feet are 380mm apart, and depth wise it’s 230mm, both measurements are centre to centre. As for the year of manufacture, it was built in July 2018. Also took some close up pics of the amp today.
  2. They’re just stickers. Thanks for reminding me Kev, I knew I’d leave something out of the ad!
  3. Putting my 1998 Warwick SS1 up for sale. Not something I thought I’d be doing any time soon, but gas has got the better of me. It’s a 1998 in Ocean blue, which I bought from a fellow BC’er. It’s had the hardware changed to black and I’ve had an Aguilar OBP-3 preamp installed. It will come with the original gold hardware, but I no longer have the original MEC preamp, it was faulty, hence the OBP-3 (which is a much better preamp anyway, imho) The bass does have a few nicks and scars here and there, as you would expect from a gigged 25yr old bass, but nothing major, as you can see from the pics, some of the finish blemishes just look like small white dots. It’s strung with 45-105 Ernie Ball Cobalts, which have only done one gig and two rehearsals. One of the main reasons for me wanting this bass, was the fact you don’t see many stage 1’s in ocean blue. It’s a fab colour. I’m sure I’ll regret this, but the Spector gas is too strong at the moment! I’m afraid it doesn’t come with a case or bag, so will have to be collection/meet up only unfortunately. I’m based in Bristol but happy to travel 50 miles each way for a meet up. You’re welcome to come and try it out at my house, I’ll just need a little bit of notice so I can bring my amp and cab home from rehearsal space. Edit: The ying yang fret markers are just stickers, so easily removed if needs be Edit to add, not looking for any trades on this one as it’s only being sold to fund something else. Thanks
  4. You’ll probably get a buyer now I w put my amp up for sale!
  5. To be honest, I’m not sure how old the amp is. I bought it used last year from @jonse. I’ll pick it up from our rehearsal space tomorrow and measure the rubber feet and check the serial number for the exact age
  6. Just put my amp up for sale, if it sells and you still have this, I’ll be in touch! 🤞
  7. Putting my ABM up for sale. I kept it as a spare when I bought my GK Fusion 550, but it’s too good to be sat around unused, and Spector gas has gotten the better of me, so unfortunately it has to go. I bought it about a year ago from @Jonse (hope you don’t mind me using some of your pics!) It’s always been kept in a cover which is really thickly padded and has a handy pocket on the front for cables etc. I can get more detailed pics when I pick the amp up from our rehearsal space this week. Happy to meet up within 100 miles of Bristol to hand over in person, or I can box it up if you wish to arrange a courier. I don’t have the original box but it will be very well packaged. The amp is in great condition, and the only reason I stopped using it was that the chance of a Fusion 550 came up, and I’d wanted one forever! No trades I’m afraid as I’m only selling to raise funds towards a Spector purchase. Any questions, please ask. You are, of course, welcome to come and try it out with your own bass or one of mine, I’ll just need a day or two notice so I can bring my cab home from rehearsal space.
  8. That’s my fear! 😂 I’ve sold a few things few marketplace on FB and various groups. It’s a massive audience, it’s just a case of separating the genuine buyers from the messers
  9. I’m hoping it sells, so I don’t have to decide what to sell to fund a purchase! 😂
  10. I asked on the Stingray fb group and the original owner of that bass responded. He bought it brand new and spec’d it to have black hardware. They wouldn’t send him the black neck plate though as it had the serial number on. He had to send the bass back in to Music Man, they fitted the black plate, updated the serial number details on their system and then sent the bass back to him.
  11. Just been watching a comparison video on Low End Lobsters YouTube channel, and was wondering if the colour scheme on his 2018 Stingray Special is a US only colour. I’ve never seen one in this colour before, white with black plate, maple neck and all black hardware? It’s done me no favours with the Stingray GAS either! I think it looks great in that colour
  12. Really nice sounding amps. When I bought my Dingwall from Bass Direct, they set me up through a Magellan and I was really impressed. I think if I was ever to go back to class d amps, it would be very high on my list.
  13. I was browsing pickups on their site earlier. They’ve got Aguilar DCB-P/J set showing as in stock, and for £150. That same set is more like £300+ everywhere else. Not sure if they’re showing the wrong PJ set, or that’s the price for P or J and not both
  14. I have 3, ABM500 Evo RC ABM600 GK Fusion 550 I’ve owned the ABM500 for more years than I care to remember. I’ve had many other amps in that time, but always just kept it as a spare. I bought the 600 last year, and then the Fusion 550 came up for sale. It was an amp I’d always wanted, so I couldn’t resist. The ABM500 needs repairing, I think once I get around to getting that sorted, I’ll probably sell the 600.
  15. This rig is just ridiculous. Took my pedalboard tonight as usual, as it houses my tuner and wireless set up, but didn’t engage any other pedals all night. Just Sire V7 Vintage, straight into the Fusion 550. It just sounds fabulous
  16. A couple of beers for me, one per set. My bladder won’t allow me to have anymore than that!
  17. I have a new found admiration for Lewis Capaldi after watching him struggle his way through his set. Can’t be easy dealing with stress and anxiety, on top of Tourette’s, when trying to perform on the main stage at such a huge festival
  18. The sound seemed all over the place for Guns n Roses set. Axl’s voice buried one minute( maybe purposely), then upfront in the mix the next. Slash’s guitar volume also seemed to be all over the place in the mix.
  19. Did anyone catch Skindred set on Thursday night on the Truth stage? Haven’t been able to watch it yet. Skindred are one of the best live bands I’ve seen. Benji Webbe is a great frontman
  20. The gig was at a venue with notoriously bad acoustics, it’s all wooden floor and masses of very large windows. The sound just seems to bounce everywhere. I’ve played there many times and it’s always been a bit of a battle to get the sound right. The GK just sounded wonderful with very little effort. Sat beautifully in the mix, had a nice aggressive tone without being obnoxious. I will say, I had a GK MB Fusion 500 for several years and I loved it, so was quietly confident that this amp would impress me, and I wasn’t wrong. For me personally, the Fusion amps have that trademark GK growl and bite, but the tube front end means it’s easy to tame that down and warm It up if you so wish.
  21. If I break my list down into two sections, before joining BC and since being a BC member, it’s quite alarming how long the second list is! Pre BC: Peavey Mk3 Trace Elliot AH350SM Ashdown ABM500 Since Joining BC: Warwick Tubepath 5.1 TC RH450 Markbass LM2 TC RH750 GB Shuttle 9.2 Aguilar TH500 GK MB Fusion 500 Darkglass M900 EBS TD650 Ashdown ABM600 GK Fusion 550 My current rig is the Fusion 550 into a Barefaced Big Twin 2, and it sounds absolutely fantastic. In truth, I’d happily have any of my last three amps, the Fusion, ABM600(which I still own) and the EBS. They are all cracking amps. Of the class D amps I tried, the MB Fusion was my favourite by a country mile. I kept it way longer than I kept any of the other class d amps. The Darkglass was a bit of a surprise, with DG being known for their distortion and drives, the M900 is actually a very good clean amp. Honourable mention for the Warwick Tubepath, such a lovely sounding amp. I only moved it on as I wanted to try some class d amps.
  22. Used the Fusion 550 for the first time last night. I used one at a shared backline gig many years ago, and was really impressed with it. Never actually owned one until now. Have to say, it sounds bloody marvellous! I was, and still am, very happy with my ABM600, but this thing is just outstanding. Paired with the BT2 it could knock walls down.
