    lol.. . Anyhow gig went brilliantly,no one believed it was the bands first gig, the venue wants us back, and someone thought my bass playing was epic. Hands were shaking for about an hour afterwards. Roll on the next 2 gigs, (Saturday and next thursday).

    Tonight I've got my fist gig in over 5 years @ Fat Lills in Witney, looking forward to it and not as nerverous as I thought I'd be.. it's all good.

    I was the same, I stopped playing completely for about 2/3 years, must have picked up the bass for no longer than half hour for that whole period. Then some old friends blagged me into joining their band back in Jan/Feb this year.. our first gig is in a few weeks.

    I'm also very tempted by the prometheananan but stuck between the 1*10 or the 2*10 combo... My band wont be gigging till september so I've got plenty of time to make up my mind.

    Started on the double bass when I was 11.. I was the smallest person in my music class so picking the biggest instrument made perfect sense to me.. And i thought they sounded and looked damn cool.. 22 years later the double bass has been replaced by an eub and a few bass guitars...never been tempted by the guitar.

    Have another bump.. I've got a soft spot for bass collections and if I wasnt saving up for a new amp I'd gladly take that bass off you.

    When I was 11 in music class we all had to pick an instrument to play.. I was the smallest in the class so had to go with the biggest instrument later, sold the DB when I was a skint student..big mistake, 10 years later on and off I've have just started again a stagg and loving it, picking up the bow for the first time and playing the open E made me drool a bit.

    I am now the proud owner of a stagg edb and the proud owner of sore sore fingers...come on you calluses.. Anyhow, as I glefully ripped opened the box I noticed that there was no gig bag. So I've got a question.. for other owners of the stagg... Did your bag come in the big box or did it come in another? I'm going to ring to the shop tomorrow anyway but I'd thought I'd say hello.. Hello.
