  1. Hi Will Got your email, but no info or pics. Regards Jim
  2. Hi Will I know seeing it in the flesh, as it were, would be hugely preferable to posting, but not possible I'm afraid. It really is a pity as I already have a Bronco (fretted maple) and this little lot would give me every possible combination of two basses. Regards Jim
  3. Hi I would be interested in this bass but unfortunately can't collect. Regards Jim
  4. Hi Have a bump on me, hope you get something more suitable. Regards Jim
  5. Hi I have a Trace Elliot boxer 65 if you can use it, (with cash adjustment to be arranged). Regards Jim
  6. Hi I had one but while it played and sounded great, was too heavy for me and my old lumbago, +1 on the powerful sound and versatility though. Regards Jim
  7. And I see the jokers are still carping on, they have no sole.
  8. Hi I've seen Colin H twice, once with the Jan Hammer band and at a musicians workshop, both were astounding in my opinion but I've always liked him and the Back Door albums esp. 8th st nites. Regards Jim
  9. Hi Went for a job interview at the Queens hotel Dundee when I was 15 (now 55) and met Fleetwood Mac who were sitting about in the room I was waiting in. They gave me a fair bit of teasing about being nervous about the job but seemed a fine bunch. Regards Jim
  10. Hi It is indeed cool, but the mention of Jagermeister reminded me of the night while on holiday in greece, myself and some new found friends drank loads of the stuff, boy did we suffer. Regards Jim
  11. Hi Thanks again to all for the replies, short scales it is, good to be able to get proper advice. Regards Jim
  12. Hi MM, thanks for the reply, just to clarify slightly, when I phoned my local music shop to ask for prices I was told I should use standard size strings, I knew short scale strings existed, hence my confusion. Regards Jim
  13. Hi I have a Bronco bass with what I suspect is the original strings, quite light gauge. What I need to know is, do I need to buy short scale strings?. I also have a fretless jazz with flatwounds which I love the feel of, what effect would re-stringing with flatwounds have on the Bronco? Also I can remember a modified Bronco for sale a while back on here, would like to find out what bridge, pickups etc. were used. I really like this bass, the short scale suits me perfectly, I have full size basses as well but it always feels like home when I return to the Bronco, much more comfortable to me. Regards Jim
  14. Hi Jim Deacon do a short scale P-bass, price in my nearest stockist (Bandwagon in Perth) is £109, enjoy your sandwich . Regards Jim
  15. Hi Just another congrats from me, saw the broadcast live, well done you!. Regards Jim
  16. Hi Much admiration from me for a very nice collection of beauties. Regards and envy Jim
  17. Hi I am at the stage where 5 strings would confuse me completely, I'm having enough bother trying to play 4, sad but true. Regards Jim
  18. Hi This bass is now on ebay, item no. 320401413170, thanks to all who enquired. Regards Jim
  19. Hi Another vote for the pound shop, I've had various brands from there and they have been OK (Maxell, Hyundai, Kodak). On the other hand I bought some from elsewhere which looked kinda like Duracell but were called Powercell, they wouldn't even light the viewfinder display in my camera, absolutely stone dead. Regards Jim
  20. Hi leftybassman I'm afraid neither he nor I have any idea the value of this instrument, so with this in mind we will get a valuation done asap (probably will have to be Monday) and we'll take it from there. Regards Jim

More and better photos will be available soon (Andrew from Aberdeen, thanks for the reply and will pass photos on ASAP). Regards Jim
  22. Hi Sorry forgot to add the serial no which is S 846565. Regards Jim
  23. Hi For sale is my mate's 1978 Fender precision left handed bass, natural with maple neck and black scratchguard. The bass is all original and has come up for sale as he no longer plays due to health reasons, it was bought from More music shop in Clair Street, Kirkaldy in 1978, the shop is now closed but the ex-owner can be contacted (he plays in a local band) to verify the sale. The scratchgaurd has some damage at the jack socket but apart from that it is in good order. Any one who is interested or wants to make an offer, please contact me and I'll direct you to the seller. Regards Jim[attachment=28537:Fender_P...and_1978.jpg]
