I've got a gig in a pub in a railway station on Sunday afternoon. It's usually rammed, so I was (am?) expecting it to be cancelled. So far, all signs are that it's going ahead. We'll see.

It's never been a problem with me, but as it's a pretty substantial string I always make sure the string isn't 'locked' in the bridge when I'm tuning it up to pitch, i.e. make sure it can freely rotate right up until the last minute. I've had it a couple of times before where the string has twisted, and it's basically sounded dead. FWIW, I find GHS Precision Flats to be a slightly cheaper alternative to the La Bella FL's.

I think this qualifies as 'Somewhat stalkerish'.
