1.
WoT I think you might be hamming it up a little now. Mwah ha.
Ha... good guess, but no.
2. You must know a different Sue Ryder to me, Doc. The lassie I know is like a hoose end...
3. Hmmm... It's supposed to be delivered today, but as of 7.18am it has only made it as far as Birmingham... *drums fingers*
4.
What does "BBOT" mean ?
Bent bit of tin, aka. the classic Fender bridge. Despised by some, but they can be found at the business end of some of the greatest moments in the history of bass.
5. There's a thread on these already.. And a bonus comedy thread.
6. Just because.... http://basschat.co.uk/topic/164033-the-fender-select-caption-competition/
7. 'I'm sorry pet, but I did ask them for a room with a Telly.'
8. For no other reason than 'just because'.. Fender's new Select range.
9. Maybe he's just realised that while he was up to no good with that lassie, his plate of beans'n'mash have got cold?
10.
I'm amazed that no one has commented on the ludicrous publicity shot. What's that all about???!!!
To be fair the bloke is smoking a tab, which suggests he's done the decent thing before turning his attentions to the guitar.
11. Meh. They look like the Jap fotoflames.
12.
Q1. Is it a PJ?
A. Errr... No.
13. It's almost as radical as that...
14. Nope! Dougal's (very nice) Sadowsky is still for sale...
15. Love these heads. Beautiful things...
16. Heh... well like I say it's radical for me, but I do have my limits...
17. Tremendous, innit? Neil is a as cool as ever.. Mr. Stills trying to keep up with Jonesy.. excellent.
18. Ha... It's probably the only thing that could have stopped me going down the custom-build route. It's a bass I've lusted after for years...
19. My quest for a PJ has just taken a bit of a radical left-turn (for me, anyway). It arrives on Thursday, and I'll post pics when it lands. It's an itch I've had for a while, and the urge to scratch it has become unbearable. That's all I'm sayin'. *whistles*
20. Greg Reeves. Also played on Neil's 'After the Gold Rush'... then went mad and disappeared.
21. ...and the 15-year-old bass player. Awesome. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Kg0v0Er8Ak
22.
True, although fender GBI will still fix it (at a cost) but the chances of something breaking are slim unless you are careless and or stupid.
...or unlucky.
23.
Yeah, I've warned him about this. No doubt its just easier to get it from the UK.
I tell a lie... I did buy an Acoustic Image Focus from Bob Gollihur a few years back, after first checking I'd be supported in the event of any problems. I save hundreds over the UK price (this is when the exchange rate was favourable, though) and, when it did go wrong, Acoustic Image were as good as their word. In those circumstances, I'd buy again.
24.
