  1. Absolutely positive feedback for Joshbass, we made a trade and it was smooth and easy. We're both happy. 🤠
  2. You're welcome. I know it won't be easy to sell but if I find the right buyer... it's the ultimate enclosure for ERB / Sub bass use.
  3. It's a one-off prototype, due to the high cost of the woofer and the purpose it was built for. I should check but it's probably around 25kg. I moved it pretty easily by myself, and I actually placed it over my SWR BigBen! Found the specs, they say "36"x22"x18", weighs less than 60 pounds".
  4. Forgot to add that due to the unique nature of the beast, I might be open to trades for basses or amps as they would be easier to sell, even locally.
  5. Great buyer! Fast payment, good communication... a smooth transaction.
  6. LOL the Smurf bass was made using jigs bought in the USA more than 10 years ago. Unfortunately I used them without checking the measurements or the tuners placement and... well, the guy who placed them there must be blind. I always strive to a perfect strings path, so should plug and re-drill for bigger tuners (they'll basically erase the error) but never had much desire to do it.
  7. Hello... the time has come to let go this amazing cab. I owned it for one year, give or take, but only used it at low volumes to test instruments. It was originally built for the Kalium Strings booth at the 2016 NAMM by Duke Lejeune (Audiokinesis USA) and has been designed to go ultra-low (down flat to 23hz or so). http://www.audiokinesis.com - these cabs are all the rage on Talkbass... and for a reason! It's more or less the same dimensions of the SWR Big Ben, maybe a bit taller, but it's not heavy. It contains an €850 BMS woofer and 4 Faital 3" mids. Also there are two switches on the back: one shuts the mids down for subwoofer use, the other one changes the response of the mids (two positions). It's absolutely the best cab I've ever played thru, but it's just wasted as my gigging days are long gone and I never used it outside my house. It's 800w/4ohm. Completely stock, finished with Duratex, I think. A cab like this probably costs 2K new, I paid €545 to have it shipped from the USA plus customs duties... go figure! I'll take a loss but want to free some space from unused items, so priced it at £699 plus shipping. If it's too expensive, we can eventually find a solution like splitting the UPS fees, we'll see. I still have the box I got it in. Not interested in trades, sorry... gotta make some room in my house, I have too many cabs/basses and they spend their time collecting dust. As you can guess, it's one of the best cabs money can buy if you're into low frequencies, extended range basses or effects that need supermassive lows.
  8. Looks like the Datum is on hold/payment pending. Staab still available, price is negotiable.
  9. Yeah, it's definitely a great bass for the money, I'm just passing the very good deal I got on it... I could probably sell it for much more as it's well built, but I'm just looking for somebody who will gig it. For some reason the topic didn't contain pictures or description of the second bass... added them now.
  10. Totally forgot about the ad LOL... amp is still available.
  11. Hello! Got this bass not too long ago, but didn't use it much... only some home practice. Built in the 80s by the german luthier Wolfgang Staab (founder of SKC Bogart), it's built like a violin, kinda revealing the classic style of the builder (who's also famous for building an Octobass, a huge doublebass cousin). Solid Ebony neck and fingerboard (!) set-in, Figured Maple body, Bartolini pickups, Noll preamp, Schaller hardware. It was purple when I got it, now it's been professionally refinished and it's like a Warwick (oil finish), showing the amazing woods it's made of. It's a great sounding and feeling bass, concave body, not too heavy - and has a killer slap tone too while being very versatile and big sounding. Datum (£399) sold, Staab (649) traded.
  12. Nope! I only managed to sell a Markbass 151 I had around, all the "custom" stuff is here
  13. Bump. The new price of these units went up again, as usual.
  14. In these months got a few messages from time wasters, almost packed the amp once... can't believe it's still here.
  15. You're welcome! I know they're not "commercial" cabs but they definitely offer better specs than most standard cabs and are put together using high level components. I'd keep them all if I had an use for them.
  16. As you can expect, they all sound different. The BigBen has the biggest frequency response, 98db of sensitivity. I've put it together to play big basses on it but then got an Audiokinesis that goes down to 23hz without attenuation... hard to beat with a woofer worth €800. The original ratfur is in great conditions and the cab got a tilt-back wheels to is very easy to move around. All the parts fitted are brand new, I still have their boxes! The 2x12" coax is very nice, sounds like a 2ways but no tweeter. Very clear sounding, doesn't go ultra-low but for 4-5 strings basses works great and the small footprint is good for small rehearsals or small stages. It's finished with a 2 components black finish with Lime Green baffle and aluminum grill. One handle on the side. The white 3ways cab is 94db, slightly resembles the Eminence plan for the "medium sealed" cab for the BP122. Very clear sounding, smooth highs and great dispersion but not as loud as the bigger brother. Finished with Warnex, stuffed with Monacor "wool". The BP122 is brand new, the Fane is a bit older but not used much, the tweeter is brand new. Usual crossover points - 500/5000hz. The tweeterless 2x12" kinda follows the line of old Orange isobaric cabs... small, powerful, tweeterless, pretty aggressive sounding, doesn't go ultra-low or ultra-high but is small, light and loud. Brand new woofers, not even broken in. I also have a Markbass 151 here (should be picked up by a local guy tomorrow morning), a Trace Elliot 1153T that I used for a few experiments... definitely too many cabs around. I need to get rid of at least a couple more to make some room. I also have too many amps, I plan to only keep one.
  17. Updated the topic with pictures and rough measurements
  18. Hello! Due to being surplus to requirements, I'm selling these custom cabs. 1) 2x12" ala Tech/Schroeder, 1 coaxial woofer front-faced, 1 "normal" woofer tilted. 4ohm, 500w. Aluminum grill, front reflex (tuned to 45hz). Trade/sale: €300 [attachment=256134:21618305_10214457109450569_121412529_o.jpg] 2) 3ways cab, started its life as an SWR BigBen but it's now 3ways: Faital 18FH500 (it's like a bigger 3015LF), Eminence Alpha 6CBMRA and Ciare tweeter. Eminence 3 ways crossover. Trade/sale: €500 [attachment=256148:IMG-20170623-WA0006.jpeg] 3) 3ways cab, sealed, white finish. Same size of the 2x12" (80lt), could be made ported if desired. Eminence BP122, Fane 6" 100 and Ciare PT383 soft dome tweeter. Eminence 3 ways crossover. Trade/sale: €350 [attachment=256212:IMG_20171025_140209.jpg] All the woofers were bought brand new by me and are barely broken in as I never gigged these cabs. The 2x12" and the 3ways 12" have the same dimensions... something like 45x45x65 if I remember correctly. Not very heavy, probably around 20kg. The BigBen is 80x60x40 approx. for less than 30kg (neo woofer). Tradewise I might be interested in basses or amps (heads)... stuff that won't that all this space 😄
