  1. I'd love to try it but I have too many amps myself Are Jonas Hellborg skills included in the sale?
  2. Hello! Due to lack of use I'm letting go this awesome amp... USA made, not used much (still has the original tubes and they work 100%), excellent conditions. Only some small mark on the bottom keep it from being like new (made them against the angles of a cab). It's heavy and loud, as you all know. 300w all tube watts at 4 and 2 ohms. Works perfectly, I also have a video with me playing thru it and using all the controls to show that it's in perfect working conditions. It has the external BIAS so as long as the amp works you don't need a tech to set the BIAS after replacing the power tubes (but if used carefully they last for years and years). I'm after £950 shipping/insurance INCLUDED within Europe. Not interested in trades for this one, straight sale only. Payment by bank wire transfer or paypal if you're willing to split fees. I fully guarantee this amp, you can check my feedbacks here or on ebay. I'm the second owner, the first one used it only for a few gigs but mainly in studio (so low volumes and no shakes). I'll pack it carefully and it will be insured. The thing is that I have 5 tube amps and I only use one. I have plenty of pics. It's a tremendous amp, it won't be nice to see it go but it's useless to keep it in my home studio.
  3. +1 about Thomann: I've ordered from them tons of stuff. I've eventually got something DOA but after dealing with the customer care they got it back but they took a while to solve the issue. They also have killer prices on most of the bass stuff (expecially on G&K) while their Ashdown products are overpriced. Shipping is €20 even if you order an 8x10" - a nice plus.
  4. Never heard of a VBA on fire but... who knows?
  5. I read some catch fire, maybe due to the lack of a fan for the 8 kt88s?
  6. Just got rid of my Peavey T-Max and got one of my amps back from my tech... new tubes, bias and a complete tlc - it's like new now. A store has a Marshall 2001, maybe I should get it
  7. But they're in the USA... definitely something I'd avoid, if possible.
  8. Never heard of this brand... will check it out!
  9. Thanx for chiming in! I think it would be very nice if you could post some extra details about the 427... and maybe a picture of the "guts"?
  10. Uhm... I remember the LB having a nice dirty sound but still not being loud enough. Who knows?
  11. My LB30 was probably loud enough for quiet gigs if used with a very loud cab... I doubt you'll be able to gig with a 15wamp, unless you play in an "acoustic" band. Maybe using an 8x10"?
  12. Who knows if he had a chance to try a Matamp too? I'll try to ask, good idea!
  13. Uh... I'd literally love to have it but... I'll never ever need half of that power in my life and the biggest cab I own is a vertical 4x10" I've made... and it's already too big for the trunk of my Alfa Romeo. Any way to compare the Matamp to Webers?
  14. I'm waiting for an extimation from Matamp guys for a GT200. I'm very tempted by the 400w prototype but... even if it's worth more than its price, with that kind of money I cal almost get 2 used SVTs
  15. Well... a good thing is that having 8 big tubes will make them last for years and years... the SVT2 I had was from '92 and still working with original tubes. And of course you can even use very poor sensitivity cabs without worries. But yes, for most situations a 200w is already big enough. But damn, that thing is sexy.
  16. I could live without it. I'm really tempted by that 400w prototype...
  17. Who's the bastard who kept complaining about the Little Bastard?!?! I liked that little... well... bastard? The look was nice, I actually hoped they made a 100w model with the same look but they went for all black instead...
  18. I'd take this in less than a heartbeat if shipping abroad wasn't that expensive I can't believe it's still here!
  19. Do you remember what options they offered when you ordered yours?
  20. I frankly think that the Demeter is one of the best preamps ever made BUT it's not what I'm looking for at the moment. The SVT2 had a very "3D" tone... very thick but an exceptional mids complexity. Never played thru something as nice. But the power section wasn't as strong as I expected. I'd like something with the same quality of tone, 4 and 8 ohm... if it's lighter - even better but I can live with a 30kg amp if the tone is worth it.
  21. If it's 2-4 months... no problem, I know how things work. I could probably make a bass in 15 days but I always fix deadlines remembering how many instruments I have to build first and how many things can go wrong in the process... Any idea of the custom options? While they reply to my message.
