  1. Sorry, always forget to add it! Italy.
  2. SOLD pending payment (locally).
  3. Just ordered an EMG preamp for it, mantaining the original controls layout. I'll put it into the bass as soon as it shows up and I'll probably list it on eBay if nobody here is interested.
  4. Lowered to £1000 shipped!
  5. I must admit the amp is very nice but not very good for the "scooped" tone I'm after when I slap. My Warwick amp is better for that. Of course it's just a personal taste thing... it doesn't sound "bad" but the preamp's controls aren't probably made for that kind of stuff. Anyway it's just lovely for everything else and well built... not something easy to find on small amps.
  6. Thanks Anyway, got a trade offer for amps but not the ones listed.
  7. Facepalm.
  8. Bump
  9. Sure. Unless you're using a bass amp with -6db under 70hz. But it's not a string for everybody. Most peoples don't need it at all. I don't need it, for example, but I love listening to music made by peoples able to take advantage of the bigger range.
  10. F#? I've made basses with C# and even one with G#...
  11. I know LaBella made some thicker string but I've never seen them for sale.
  12. Sold locally.
  13. Still available. Could be interested in a partial trade for an EBS Reidmar or SWR Headlite.
  14. Man, you should have placed the ad 2 days earlier... it would be mine, I ended up buying it new.
  15. I'd simply cover the grill with black canvas (the one used on loudspeaker, "transparent" for sound. Easy fix, cheap, reversible.
  16. SIT/Conklin are good too. Otherwise, if you like a darker tone, you can use the .175" of the Rotosound D-tune set.
  17. Honestly - no idea I had that bag for my LittleMark II and it was nice. Buying a simple bag only 'cause it fits and has an Aguilar logo on it doesn' make much sense to me, at that point I'd prefer something that could protect the sides but still leave front and back free for use.
  18. I see the bag sells for €50 but it's not good, you have to remove the amp from it to use it. Much better the Markbass bag, you only have to open front and back.
  19. The cab(s) you're going to use will make a difference between being heard or being buried by the guitar player(s) IMHO. You'd certainly get louder with 250w on a 2x12" than with 500w and 1x12" (given the same preamp, eq, power stage and woofer/cabinet).
  20. I'd like to keep it scratch-free. Not sure if I'm going to use a bag or build something around it with a handle.
  21. Just got it and spent a few minutes with it... what can I say? It's the first Aguilar I play thru and I must say I'm impressed by the build quality. It's not a bright amp but it's very organic and warm. Very powerful too (or at least, the volume pot gives you an immediate punch when you turn it for the first quarter). For my own slap sound I need to boost the highs at maximum but it's not a big deal. Very scooped sounds could be a bit diffucult to achieve, the frequency of highs is a bit off for my taste. But as I said, the amp eq. section is more focused on mids (where you can decide the boost/cut frequency). It's very light, as you can guess, even if it's not smallest. Well packed, the power cable is thick and heavy. The drive knob is nice, I didn't expect it to be so useable. I'm running it thru my Henry Jr. and played both my usual bass and my headless. They both have ceramic humbuckers but very different wood combination and they both sounded nice with slap, pick and fingerstyle. A big thumb up. If the highs control was centered on different frequency and with a bit more power it could really be the perfect amp (for my own taste, of course).
