(1) is not necessarily impossible but (2) is affected by the phrase 'No More' which occurred when I arrived home with Chris's 62P. Mind you, the US Deluxe P has since left the building. It's made worse by my son also having four guitars, a mandolin, a banjo, and a Laney combo. Mrs ET says there is no room for her shoes. Unfortunately, she's correct.

    I sold Nigel a Fender American Deluxe Precision. It was a very straightforward deal. Nigel paid immediately and communication was always quick and effective. It was a pleasure to do business with him.

    Sixteen basses in thirty-five years, I think. I had six in the first twenty-five years and ten in the last ten years. It's not because of Basschat, it's because I have more money and basses are much cheaper than they used to be. My first bass in 1974, a Hofner Artist, cost me two weeks wages. My first Precision in 1976 cost me about two months wages. I have six now but that's one EUB, one acoustic, one fretless, one Precision, one Jazz, and one other one. I feel that's defensible (except maybe the other one).

I think the Precision is actually very good at cutting through but start at flat and definitely a little VLE and VPF before anthing else. I think you may not need much eq.

I have to agree with Rich there is something soulful about it which I've never quite managed to reproduce from other Precisions I've had. I bought it from Beedster (Chris) who reckoned it really was close on feel and sound to his original '64.
