  1. Too far away I'm afraid.
  2. No youngsters out there wanting to learn but need a short scale that plays very easily and cheap as chips?
  3. Thanks for that endorsement. It's a great bass for no money at all.
  4. This was part of a starter pack that I bought from Thomann for my son when he started playiing bass. As he's now as tall as I am, I reckon he's got past this one. It's a short scale bass (29") and has a maple neck with a rosewood board. Width at the nut is 1.6". Only weighs 6lbs. It has a couple of dings, which I've tried to show in the pictures. Unfortunately I can't avoid getting my reflection in but that shouldn't put you off I hope! Sounds great and is ideal for a starter. Cash on collection from Leeds, please, although I could meet up within reasonable distance for fuel costs.
  5. Just sold my Overwater Perception to Nick. He's a great guy and very knowledgeable on all things bass. Came up from Bristol to Leeds to pick it up and it was a completely hassle-free transaction. You can deal with this guy with confidence - a credit to Basschat. Thanks Nick.
  6. Still for sale or trade.
  7. Try as I might I just cannot take to 5 strings so this beautiful instrument will have to go. I'm only looking to get back what I paid for it in a trade on this forum from the original owner. Made in Carlisle, it has a beautiful figured maple top, matching headstock on a lightweight swamp ash body. The nut is 46mm with adjustable string spacing currently at 19mm. It has a shallow neck profile and is a 35" scale that gives the B string a well-defined tone. Overwater active electronics, which allows for so much tonal variation without ever overdoing things. Comes with a new unbranded Hiscox Liteflite hard case. In the interests of full disclosure, the bass has a couple of really small blemishes on the body that are really difficult to show in the photos. These were there before I got the bass. I've reached my maximum upload but I can send pics of this by email if anyone is interested. I would prefer a straight sale but welcome trade offers of a 4 string of comparable value. This should have active electronics and a Jazz profile neck. I'm not keen on couriers so collection from Leeds or a meet up within reasonable distance is a must.
  8. Where are you based?
  9. Just bought a compressor from Dan. Great guy to deal with and came exactly as described. Thanks Dan.
  10. Thanks Dan. Look forward to receiving it!
  11. Just completed an Overwater-for-Overwater trade with Pete. We met up to do the deal and he really is a great guy. I really enjoyed our chat. Everything went absolutely smoothly. Thanks Pete.
  12. Thanks, Luke. The pictures hardly do it justice
  13. My gigging days are about to reduce quite significantly so the number of basses will have to shrink, too. Up for sale is my Overwater Classic Jazz 4 string in stunning Tobacco Burst with satin finish. I had this made for me in 2013 at the Carlisle factory and had it fitted with Wizard '64 pickups (made not long before they shut up shop) with Hipshot hardware featuring a brass bridge. The fingerboard is straight-grained dark rosewood with matching headstock. It comes with an Overwater branded Hiscox hard case. Not looking for any trades. Prefer collection from Leeds but will meet up within reasonable distance for the cost of the fuel. This is an opportunity to buy a custom-built hand-made instrument at a bargain price.
  14. I played through one of these heads going into an Ampeg 4X10 at a jam session and it sounded absolutely great. Took me completely by surprise. Good luck with your sale.

  18. I have one of these and it's a great bass. Top notch workmanship and a joy to play. It's a bargain at this price. Good luck with the sale.
