This thread pops up as I am looking at jazz bodies and necks, contemplating an all black jazz with NO guard and a black control plate. I hate that mine has screw holes in it. My local luthier said he could make them less noticeable but I would always see them and wouldn't be happy. Methinks he's right. I have an all black, not BWB, .090 on the way from WD with a bag of black screws. Accompanying it is this-

What year Jazz? Post up a pic. I advise you to find a small practice amp with an aux input so you can play your favorite songs thru your amp and play along. Great fun!

I chickened out on the 1 piece idea. I couldn't fathom getting the thing and the screw holes not lining up perfectly. So I have these coming. in a bit I will spring for the black hipshot bridge.
