  1. At least it's not methamphetamine, right?
  2. Wait a minute... "(and Im not about to buy another Schaller 5string 3D in black and Gotoh tuners in black! Mr Nibody is all spent up)"
  3. I did anyway. Um, wow... "The former two were primarily a combination of sexual performance artists and gonzo-camera team, capturing closeups of stage action projected on the wall behind the band while performing. They were also responsible for the cued playing of prepared art videos of subject matter relating to the songs. This included female genital mutilation, eating disorders, body dysmorphia, and menstruation taboos."
  4. I know this is a black bass thread and all...but...this 'dark night' color scheme is just easy on my eyes. Gorgeous... https://www.musiciansfriend.com/bass/fender-american-professional-ii-jazz-bass-maple-fingerboard/l78027000002000?cntry=us&source=3WWRWXMP&source=3WWRWXMP&msclkid=12feb0db01d613fa814ad0aa7b1fbd72&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=**LP - Shop - Bass - Electric Bass - 4 String - Over %241000&utm_term=4578916219388888&utm_content=L78027000002000 | Fender American Professional II Jazz Bass Maple Fingerboard Dark Night | %241599.99
  5. Please clarify---are you looking for a handout or is this out and out extortion? Class action, maybe? Definition of extort : to obtain from a person by force, intimidation, or undue or illegal power also : to gain especially by ingenuity or compelling argument
  6. I thought the U looking design was the sticker. What I'd like is a black guard with the white binding around the edge.

  8. Well, your hand should feel safe, anyway.
  9. I have watched several videos where the guy preaches using 2nd and 4th fingers to span 2 frets. This doesn't work for me at ALL. My hand wants to do this with 1 and 3. 2 and 4 feels utterly unnatural. In fact, I have to consciously order the pinky to get in the game. It would rather spectate.
  10. This is certainly the ugliest Precision ever...
  11. Thanks for posting that article, hadn't seen it. This--- "the most innocent of hobbies can easily spiral out of control" LOL no kidding.
  12. The difference is like standing 11 feet from your amp or 45 feet from it.
  13. Ok, this is what I now know. I previously stated the aux in wasn't late, but I think I was wrong. Had I a 3.5mm splitter I could test but I am convinced both the song and the tone from the bass were late. I timed the delay with a freeware called audacity, from finger pluck to tone in earbud is 400msec. I was close. So this particular device will not work. BUT. Now I have read a lot of stuff about low latency bluetooth, claiming 40msec end to end. Galaxy Buds don't support the technology, which is called aptX Low Latency. There are transmitters and earbuds available, but now we're looking at a hundred bucks for stuff off amazon...and it would be a faith purchase. I'm gluing the ear pads back on on my trusty old Bose headset(too many plane trips, too many rides in the laptop backpack) and will endure the cord until I research this more. Not convinced this is worth a hundred dollars, and not keen on trying to return chinese made electronics on amazon if it all doesn't perform as advertised. Ah well, I tried!
  14. I had high hopes. I am rather befuddled, though. The headphone jack audio isn't out of sync with a wired headset, just with this widget. Senseless. Either both audio paths-1/4" and aux in-arrive at the jack at the same time or they don't. Maybe it is the sequence of which is powered up and or plugged in in what order. Gonna monkey around with it some more...
  15. Strike one. I drove down to Best Buy and spent 30 bucks on this BT transmitter(only). I plugged the phone and BT thingy into the amplug, paired it and it sounded great in the earbuds. Got home, plugged the amplug into the guitar and the 1/4" jack input is about 500msec later than the aux in from the phone. Dangit.
  16. I was just talking about that pickguard, that looks great.

  18. Chocolate? I have been to Vanini's in Lugano, Switzerland. That's a pretty high bar...you can walk out with a kilo slab of whatever you fancy, almost.
  19. There are scads of gizmos on ebay, amazon, you name it, but nothing name brand. We have a store called BestBuy here, but their gizmos are pricy as you mentioned, almost the price of the amplug itself. 50 bucks for the amplug from sweetwater.com, 30 to 40 from Best Buy. I suppose I will have spent that 30 or 40 in trashed cheapie headphones in a year, though.
  20. After destroying the plugs or cords on a half dozen cheap headphones, I am looking at maybe trying a 3.5mm plug to bluetooth adapter so I can use my wireless Galaxy buds. Has anyone tried this? I am trepidatious as I am reading reviews mentioning delay. That would be a show stopper.
