1. Ooooh. Tempted, and work in Lincoln....Where can I find the cash.... Is it the one with the reverb built in? and does it come with the footswitch? Are you interested in any trades?
2. Personally, I think that Mike Dirnt is a great bass player! Especially on song like 'Stuart and the Ave.' off Insomniac.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yVilqCZfXw
3. Dunlop tortex blue (1mm) (Dunlop tortex orange for guitar)
4. The EW100's are both G1. They won't run on channel 38 as they are too old I believe. So am i right in thinking that 4 EW100's will run on channel 70 or 4 freeports will run on channel 70. BUT I can't use a mixture of the 2 and still have 4 mics running?
5. I have 2 Sennheiser EW100 radio mics and 2 x Freeport radio mics that i am trying to run in the channel 70 range. The 4 recommended frequencies for the EW100 are: channel 1 - 863.1 channel 2 - 863.5 channel 3 - 864.3 channel 4 - 864.9 The 4 fixed frequencies on the Freeport systems are: channel 1 - 863.1 channel 2 - 863.7 channel 3 - 864.1 channel 4 - 864.9 I have tried manually tuning the EW100 to the same recommended frequencies as the Freeport to run them all. i currently have set: mic 1 (Freeport) - 863.1 mic 2 (EW100 belt pack) - 863.5 mic 3 (Freeport) - 864.3 mic 4 (EW100 handheld) - 864.9 Mics 1, 2 and 3 play nicely but when I turn on mic 4 it get picked up by mic 3's receiver and causes feedback. My guess is that the EW100's have a wider frequency spread than the Freeports!?! So does anyone know how to calculate a frequency that will be far enough apart and will not go outside of the channel 70 band or interfere????
6. I meant the delay and reverb fx , is that just for vocals?
7. My preference for church is this: Korg Pitchblack tuner MXR M80 Bass DI gives some eq control etc or Budget Alternative would be Behringer GI100 (or DI100) - good solid DI despite saying behringer on it.
8. Bump - thanks to essexbasscat for spotting that I listed the EQ incorrectly as a 231. It is actually model Q215 - dual 15 band eq. Now amended.
9. I have a hercules dual grabby stand and it goes high and does a good job.
10. I'm looking at getting either a ZED 24 or a ZED 22fx as a portable mixing desk. This will be an upgrade from our Behringer Eurodesk. These 2 are almost identical except one has 4 stereo channels and the other has 3 stereo channels and a dedicated built in FX as channel 4. Has anyone got any experience with the fx section of the ZED desks. The behringer desk had built in fx, but they were not really that good and they packed up after a few years of using the desk. The 22fx is about £100 more than the 24 just for the fx section. I have a Lexicon MX200 rack unit, but would prefer not to have to take it out of the rack if we need to set up PA in a different location (Lexicon will be permanently installed with a different desk in our church hall). I could probably buy an Alesis fx unit for £100 anyway, or look at a second hand lexicon but it would be nice to have the fx built in and have less gear to carry. So, what would you suggest? There is nowhere nearby to go and test either of these desks out by the way, so I'm buying it blind
11. For PC I am a fan of Comodo Internet Security, which is also free. For the mac, +1 for clamxav.

16. I recently bought some used pa gear in bulk and some of it is surplus to requirements... Peavey Q215 Graphic Equalizer - [s]£60[/s] £50 SOLD Dual 15 band eq with feedback detection and high pass filter. The unit is used and has 2 damaged faders. Both are still useable (although one needs a pen or something to slide it). Unit is still fully functional, just cosmetic. XLR & Jack balanced inputs and outputs. Peavey CS800 X (600W x2) - [s]£50[/s] SOLD Dual 600W power amp. Again, well used but works. Carlsbro Powerline 300 Power Amp - [s]£75[/s] £50 SOLD Barely used, works well. Cost about £150 when new I believe. Very tidy condition, except for a bit a sticky residue from tape being used at the back to hold cables in place. Jack ins and outs 10U Rack Case with Mixer rack space at top - SOLD [s]£40[/s] £25 with wheeled skate (£20 for rack / £10 for skate if sold seperately) 10U rack case, wooden. Well used but functions. 1 clasp is broken but all panels still fix properly. Front and rear remove. Also has removable top section with tilt up mixer rack. Currently attached (screwed) to wooden skate with castors, but will split them and sell separately if requested. Comes with a random assortment of rack screws. [s]If you buy one of the amps, I can throw in some XLR to mono jack cables that came with them if you need them, just let me know - see photo. They are neutrik on both ends.[/s] - now gone Collection from Louth, Lincolnshire is preferred, but I can arrange postage if needed for about £10. Also, I can arrange collection from Dronfield (nr. Sheffield) or Wakefield if that makes things easier.
