Saw them at Symphony Hall around 2012. Great show.

Anyone else just ready to give up?
No.

I'd be looking for a TGI Extreme, generally around £50.

The problem is live. So many bands I've seen play much faster live than on their recording.

Reported. Scum.

My tech threw my Elixirs in the bin and told me not to use them. Recommended D’addario XTs as the winding wire is coated before the string is wound, not after like Elixirs.
He looks after Keith Richards’ guitars so I’m inclined to listen to him!
I think the wrap is nickel but the coating is corrosion resistant so should protect you from it?How do XTs compare to regular XLs?

So a neutral sounding amp is overrated because you don't know how to EQ? 😂

DR Dragon Skins are coated steels, Hi Beams from memory.

Mine arrived. It's beautiful, plays nicely and it's pretty light.
Which means it neck dives, so needs to go back unfortunately. I'm not going down that road again. Should have known better than to buy without trying and b-stock at that. Got caught up in the feeding frenzy I guess.
Conflicted about exchanging it for another vintage white, which they still have available.
EDIT: played nicely once I brought the action down, had very little relief. The neck is amazing. Not as slim front-to-back as my '82 Squier precision, so not exactly a re-issue but certainly one of the best necks I've held.
My Precision is 8 1/2 lbs and neck dives. I purchased a strap from Pinegrove to counter this. The result? A nice bass and a nice strap.

Went to the States recently and picked a set up for £40. Rip off UK.

I'm using one pedal now outside of my Polytune - an RC Bass Booster. This is to have more control over my sound FOH. Not really an effect per se.

But let's be honest, he's no Taylor Swift.

I've reported him - I suggest others do the same.

What a shady seller.

I had this problem when switching from a J to a P.
I found it's all in the EQ - I keep the bass and treble at noon, bump the mids at 1k and 1.5k and adjust the tone knob to suit, normally 9/10.

I would appreciate the collective's opinion on this...
We are putting together a start-up country/Americana band. Great personnel, but so far, (2 mos) we have gone though a drummer (without one at the moment) and 2 guitarists. I have not picked up on any particularly toxic vibes from the BL, but often am too dense to pick up on stuff. Also, the two in charge have cancelled several scheduled rehearsals (day before or same day), which, honestly, bugs me more. I passed up Champion's League tickets tonight to attend a rehearsal that has been called off 6 hours before it was due to start.
So...thoughts? They are really talented, and we could have a great group, but......
Thanks in advance...
Give them one last chance before walking.
Tell the band leader that if another rehearsal is cancelled short notice then you will walk. Your time is valuable and the band is supposed to be professional.

Hey guys and gals..........
Any ideas......?
Who do you love using for bass parts in the UK?
kind regards to all,
Northwest Guitars is pretty good for parts. Not sure about you but I don't fancy spending £100+ on a piece of plastic.

Played one at Bass Direct when first released. Absolutely shocking. Surprised Sadowsky didn't stop the project there and then.
