Great combos - similar to the CMD121P but with more wattage.

After a good quality strap that counters my neck diving P.
Tried Mono and Neotech and whilst comfortable on my shoulder, they don't do much to help with the neck dive issue.
Any straps out there that counter neck dive and give you comfort on the shoulder?

Sire, G&L, Yamaha.

Thanks everyone.

Do Hiscox cases allow basses with Fender style headstocks to slide up and down in the case?

I used Lo Rider SS strings has an alternative to Rotos - smoother, longer lasting and pack the same punch.

Any hard case or gig bag that can accommodate 35" scale should do the job.

Can I be the first to say...
"It was better back in my day!"

I've never been to Bass Bros but I live locally.
Their contact address is Harbury lane in Leamington, which is not far at all from BD in Warwick, although there can be heavy traffic in the area at peak times.
Ah - they've moved.
-
Warwick and Stratford aren't 5-10 minutes apart though?

If you make a mistake, look at the guitarist, drummer or vocalist. It was definitely their fault.

A car to my rehearsal spot takes twenty minutes. Public transport would take me two hours.

Bass Bros and Bass Direct are within 30 minutes of each other.

Look for basses made with Poplar, Nato or Swamp Ash has these tend to be lighter than Alder, Basswood and Mahogany.

Well I’m sorted for DI’s on my board so it was never an issue. Good pedal though.
Good for you.
I have a Polytune and my only other pedal need is a low gain OD with EQ options. To have a DI on that would be a bonus hence why the Tech 21 VT Bass covers so much ground. I'm going to stick with that.

That is pretty expensive for basses that look like they've been assembled from not very expensive parts. I mean, my eyes have to deceive me or that red Jazz is a Sire body and a Squier Standard neck. It might be the angle of the photo but the aligning on the silver MM Jazz just looks...off.
This is the guy who purchased a Squier made in China for $600 - secondhand.

Every Peavey ever made.

Sounds great but no DI so I'll have to stick with the VT Bass.

Diago power supplies are brilliant. I've had mine for over ten years now and still going strong.

Yes, I’m fine thanks for asking.
I just cannot understand why, if you people have more than one bass, why they wouldn’t take it.
Because they don't break their strings.

Well, I wish you the best of luck continuing your record, but for those of us that have had something go wrong (and it's not just strings), I can assure you that once it does, you'd be a fool not to rethink the back-up plan.
Of course, the degree of foolhardiness is dependant on the level of gig. I'd look pretty f***ing stupid as the bass player at an 80's theatre gig (as I often am) where there is no support (therefore no other bass players/equipment) and my bass went down for some reason. The only option, without a back-up, would be to stop the show and attempt to rectify it. If I can't, the show is over.
A yardstick is, would @cetera turn up to a Leather & Lace show without a back-up. No, I don't think he would.
If you're happy attending the occasional jam night or some other gig where there are several other basses, yes, you can mitigate against that risk, but it's not really in the spirit of the bassist role IMHO.
You OK hun??

One. I've never broken a bass string in 20 years of playing.
