  1. £30 used from this site, as it goes but it’s still frustrating that it’s not up to the job. Honestly I am a bit depressed by all this.
  2. As an update, the Joyo blocker takes the noise down to a very low level. Totally fine for live use and I don't tend to multiple pedals when practising so this is perfect for me for now. I'll keep an eye out for a better PSU in the future, maybe the next time I order something from HB I'll get one of their ISOs so I can dodge the postage charge but thanks - this has all been illuminating!
  3. Hmm. That does sound like a steal, but I'm never going to run more than 3 or 4 pedals so I'll never need that many connections. I'll consider upgrading at some point though.
  4. I mean. I can see the argument but it's never been a problem while using it on its own. It's only been an issue when adding other pedals. However... you're right and I may start saving.
  5. £215.... on a power supply. WOW! Well. Hmm. I think I'll try the Joyo first but I am very very impressed with your commitment to the best quality kit! Nice one!
  6. Yeah. Just daisy-chained all three using the 9v wall-wart and the noise was really bad. I just found the Joyo you linked to on Amazon so I can try it out and easily return it if it doesn't do the job but seriously. Thank you for your help with this - it's much appreciated.
  7. One of them, at least, must be isolated as it is rated at 500mA. I can imagine 1-7 would be chained but 8 being "high current" must have its own circuitry, no? Also, what's weird is there's no interference between the Octave and Metaphors, but there is when the ADAM is connected to either of the other two. I'll have a crack at plain old daisychaining them using a bog-standard 9v tonight and report back but thatnks - I do appreciate your input. If you're right then I'll need a whole new power supply which is really fricken' annoying.
  8. The outputs? Can you clarify a bit - they're just those standard PSU to pedal cables coming out of a power brick. I've connected the hight output one directly to the ADAM as it draws 500mA and then standard connections to the Octave and Metaphors but they're individual cables. See pic above.
  9. I have some daisy chain cables somewhere Will have a go. Ta
  10. Hi. I've put a little pedal board together but I'm getting a chronic buzz when I chain more than one together. I've tried a few things: Replaced the patch cables, still got an issue. Removed individual pedals - no problem. Each one works fine on its own. Took the octave pedal out - that reduced the buzz but it was still there. Solution - I've run a separate power to the ADAM. The Octave and Metaphors are taking power from the power block on the board. See last pic to see what I mean - this has no buzz at all. It's not an earth thing because when I run the ADAM and Ocatave off the pedalboard PSU and plug the other supply in the Metaphors the noise returns. I know the ADAM is a hungry bugger but there's a dedicated 500mA outlet. Would a solution be getting a 1.5A 10v PSU? I'm really stumped by this. Any help gratefully received!
  11. Urgh. Honestly. If you're doing a collection I'd have thought it was automatic to bring a label. The courier was going to take the box away without anything on it saying where it was going ffs. If they'd asked me to print and attach I'd have done so but I'd have wanted to take a pic of it being taken away in the van...
  12. Fair play, Thomann said they'd rearrange and that this time the courier would definitely come with a label and I can take a photo of that as proof of collection which is fine. Will have to wait till friday though boooo!
  13. Well that was odd. DPD just came to collect the bass. I handed it to the courier guy and asked for a receipt and he said he can't give a receipt so I said "okay, I'll just take a photo of you taking the box away" and he said no and handed the box back to me!!!!! What the actual F*CK?!
  14. Well the tuners seem to work okay but the bridge is nasty so may get an aftermarket one.
  15. Well. I'm pretty promiscuous when it comes to buying gear - I'll go with whoever takes my fancy at any given point. BUT. The experience of dealing with their customer service has meant I'm very happy to use Thomann again in the future. It was a bit of a faff taking loads of pics for them to claim against DHL but they were friendly and efficient in solving an issue. Honestly, cheap'n'cheerful products are only going to win you customers if the customer service is up to dealing with the issues and from my experience, it is.
  16. It's a shame as this one isn't at all heavy! Still, it's got a big crack at the neck. Never a good look! It's very nice though. I can't imagine how they're making a profit on this.
  17. It's a crack. I got it for £228 as it was b stock but they've offered to replace for new and they'll take it up with DHL as the box has a great big hole in it!
  18. I got the bass and first look was okay, but in the daylight... this is on the neck! It looks like it's been repaired too. I got it as having signs of use but this is not a bit of use!!!
  19. Well, I'm pretty open minded. I guess I just tend to default to passive if it's an option and I don't think you can bypass the eq on this bass. Not a huge deal.
  20. Yeah. I may stick with the floor-stand then!
  21. Hmm. Bit worried about the wall-mounted guitar hanger then!
  22. Just out of curiosity, what's the pickup? It says JJ but that doesn't look like a standard Fender-type pickup. Anyone got any idea? I'll have a good look when I'm changing the strings but just wondered if anyone had any experience.
  23. Just to say I took my Dingwall in for a service and very happy. I'll be taking other stuff for a lookie-over in the future...
  24. Well.... mine's on th eway! I'll put a set of flats on it as I just fancy that. I may swap out for a set of rounds in the future, see how it goes. I'm pretty neutral but right now I'm in the mood for tapie-wapies!
