My new band has asked me to find a bass sound that cuts through "to the point where some other bands might complain about it". I'm playing an EDS HD350 into an Epifani UL210 - that might be relevant or it might not. The lineup is drums, rhythm guitar and lead guitar (and bass). Gigs will be in small venues with voice only thru the PA. Any recommendations on EQ that might help me cut through?

Thanks for the replies, guys. I was thinking of something more like a self-contained unit. I have a Tascam MP-BT1 which can hold MP3 tracks and I can plug my bass into it and play along. I bought it years ago and it's no longer made. I was planning to replace it, but would like to be able to record my efforts too.

I'm part of an originals project where I am writing bass lines against the songwriter's acoustic and vocal first recordings. I want an MP3 unit to play back his tracks and play my bass over them, and when I've got a bass line I like I want to be able to record his track and my line together. Has anyone got any suggestions?

This amp/cab will be the source of bass.. We don't DI for normal-sized pub gigs.
