  1. I’ve just done exactly the same, never drummed before. I thought it may improve my timing and locking in better with more understanding. Mesh kit the same, I’m using my Waza Air Bass with it it’s great. It’s the thomann home millennium brand I got second hand on here
  2. Best get a ‘Rat Trap’ then
  3. Greetings and welcome. There are a few build segments going on and plenty of old posts to sift through. A goodly wealth of knowledge on here. The only place to be wary of is the market place, it can empty your wallet with just a glance 😄
  4. Sharpen the end and rub it in cow sh!t you could do quite a bit of damage with that 😝
  5. Los Saicos a band from Peru were the earliest recorded punk band in 1964 I watched a documentary about them a few months ago strangely enough
  6. Maybe a nice tube recording head?

  9. Over my head - Black Country Communion
  10. You sound like the band is there for you to showcase what you want. Time to realise your a band and that includes other people you need to work together not do your own thing. maybe lead guitar would suit you better 😄
  11. Also the “I met <insert famous name> who shook my mates hand so I licked it then licked the bass” so I’ll add on £4000 to the price…
  12. Emergency on planet earth - Jamiroquai
  13. You could try a valve preamp/OD pedal into a light power amp or the FX return of a small head. BK Butler blue Tube Mesa boogie V Twin EBS valve drive Myco Various on low gain Dave Hall various pedals Noble (bloody expensive) there Are many more and some are not manufactured now, but all are available secondhand without much trouble cheaply enough except the Noble. If you don’t like what you hear, sell it on and try another flavour easy enough with no loss to your pocket. Then that opens the world of tube rolling’ up to you 🤣😄
  14. “Cheap as chips” Have you been to the chip shop lately? You’d need a loan to buy for a family of 4 😄
  15. Buy a spectra comp one knob compressor to start with. They sound great and secondhand are great value for the quality. They appear regularly on the market place. Run through a few of the settings and see where your at, many people stick with them though. There’s some really good presets in the App and they take seconds to change. The other bonus is they have a tiny footprint for the pedal board. if you love what it does you can look at more expensive all singing and dancing models and get your money back on the spectra comp if you decide to sell.
