1. I play bass fairly melodically, and I know some more rhythmical guitarists- myself being one of them. I think that instrument "roles" shouldn't be as rigid as they seem to be, bassists shouldn't have to just play "root notes with some fills", they should be able to play whatever the hell they want, and similarly, guitarists shouldn't be limited to "widdly bits" or "chord strumming". I listen to prog/tech metal though,
2. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 1 post to view.
3. Pending sale. Wow, that was quick.
4. I've only had this for a few weeks, but I've realised I prefer my sound without any effects. Which, come to think of it, is pretty stupid considering I just shelled out £125 for it. So, you probably know all the specs by now but: Professional bass multi-effects processor with COSM technology True analog bypass and 24-bit converters for uncompromised sound quality COSM Bass Amp Modeling recreates the tone of many of the greatest bass amps and speaker cabinets in history New COSM Compression effect modeled after 4 well-known compressors Ultra-intuitive interface with analog-style knobs; built-in expression and control pedals Versatile effects including "Auto Slap" and sound-on-sound looping BOSS' best synth bass sounds with incredible tracking Balanced XLR output and coaxial digital output for recording is what Boss have to say about it. Looking for £125+postage, I take Paypal or cheque. Any takers?
5. I'm never allowed to use my own gear. I've also played gigs where I'm not allowed to EQ :/
6. My band wants me to look less "metal". Onstage, I wear jeans and a smart shirt. Wut? I do have long purple hair though.
7. The Mole is more of a tonal pedal, amirite? In that case, I would have the Muff first, then the Mole to color the sound you're getting off the Muff, then the DI.
8. All my basses have rosewood (or ebonol on one ) , I have yet to play a bass with a maple fretboard.
9. Fack me, it's big. If the display was that big, maybe...
10. The problem is finding 500w cabs, I guess. They seem to be working fine, but I'll keep my ears open. Ideally, when buying a new cab, I should go for the same or above wattage of the head, right?

Looks nice, but how well does it actually work? A little box like that, hooked up to a Moog of some description sounds very nice right now.
12.
my current one Although i have bought a few singles recently............
I'm getting one of those soon, anything I should know about?
13. They've served me well well, my ears. Dunno about my back, mind
14. I think of music as hand shapes- everything I play relates to a guitar-like instrument in my head. So I'm sitting there working out theory on piano and hitting invisible chords. Some music, when combined with meditation, can give me a stoned feeling, which is pretty badass.
15. I have an Ashdown Little Giant 1000- 2x500w outputs @4 ohms. Is it safe to run one 350w, 4ohm cab at low volumes? What about two of those? What about high volumes? Do I need to buy new cabs?
16. I know a few lines, but only cos I sing them too. Mainly chant-y stuff.

Could I have, in theory, a Big Muff model running into a Tubescreamer or even in parallel?
18. I use a standard Hiscox hard case, I dunno how that would hold up in a hold, though.
19. You have synthesisia. You lucky bastard, that's awesome!
20. Bump, SB-7 is pending sale.
21. Looks lovely. Unfortunately I'm saving for a multi- but I need a DI after that. Mind holding onto it for 6 months? Good luck with the sale

Right, that'll be ok- I plan my effects use in songs. Thanks all- now I just have to sell all my stuff....
23. So I'm selling all my stuff to fuel my GAS: Behringer Rack Compressor Really good unit with adjustable, adaptable compression. It can go from subtle to punchy as hell with one twist of a knob. I've had it for about a month, but it unfortunately has to go. £50 Digitech Bad Monkey Meh guitar overdrive that works OK-ish for bass. Good for guitar though. £20 Ibanez SB-7 Nice synth pedal with filter option- this is the pedal I would keep if I could. Using this into the Bad Monkey I've created a passable Hysteria tone. £35 pending sale I have no credit card, either cheque or Paypal. PM me for interesting trades as well.
24. Only Behringer amps/effects are bad, their pro-audio stuff is actually pretty good.

How bad is the switching lag? Could I change patches in the middle of a fast song?
