Is it possible to change a neck radius from 9.5 to 12? If so, does anyone know a guitar workshop that offers this service?

Would be interesting to know the demand for status necks over the years. I always assumed they were very popular based on the options they offered. Typical, just as I decide to get one, the business partially closes it's doors 😭🤣😭. Wonder if that's part of the reason, Mark King went back to Jaydee?

I did contact status to see if they had any old necks sitting about the workshop but sadly not. I regret not purchasing one a few years back😒😒😒

Cheers, but looking for a replacement jazz neck to fit and existing jazz body, think zoot is more about selling a complete bass.

Now that Status is sadly downsizing their production, are there any other companies that specialise in replacement graphite necks? Years ago I had a moses jazz neck but couldn't live with the 7.5 radius. Can't help thinking there is now a big gap in the market for replacement graphite necks. Sourcing a used status jazz neck has proved impossible so far.

Tried everything but it's been highlighted elsewhere these basses are plagued with issues. Pickup upgrade only way to go.

Thanks for the reply! The pickups and EQ are not the best, lots of hiss and volume cutting out. I have heard this is quite common for this model. It could be a great bass with the right pickups.

Any recommendations for pickup and EQ upgrades for this bass? Obviously, the most cost effective the better 😄

Can anyone recommend direct replacement bridges and pickups for these 2 basses? Has anyone done this? Also does anyone know if a standard Stingray 5 pickgaurd would fit the MB5?

As Status are no longer selling replacement Jazz necks, can anyone recommend another manufacturing selling in the UK?

GB4 coming in a little over £1100. I expect the GB5 not to be far off that. Hopefully the Elrick is under that price point

Oh, and does anyone know if the pickups can be replaced with soapbar pickups from nordstrand, Aguilar etc?

I plan to pick up a new squire contemporary bass once realeased but one thing......does anyone know a way to remove the paint off the headstock?

It will be very interesting to see what price these basses come in at based on the quality of the hardware alone! Sadly for me the 5 string won't be an option as it looks like another 19mm string spacing😭
