  1. I picked one up this week and pleasantly surprised! Firstly, the finish! WOW! The sparkle is gorgeous! No idea why other manufacturers don't offer that many sparkle finishes? (Cost?) The sound? Fabulous. Not quite as good as my sterling 34 but pretty close. The price is phenomenal based on the build quality alone! Only draw back is the weight. Surprisingly heavy! Anyway, What's your thoughts?
  2. Next stupid question: Is there an easy way to tell which is the ring, sleeve, and tip or is it just plug in and try?
  3. Got to be honest, most of the information shared is way over my head 😄 I never knew it would be so difficult to fit new pickups 😄 Is there a stereo output jack you can order separately that would fix the issue? If so, please share a link
  4. Maybe difficult to tell from the photo but this is the passive Warwick jack, it looks to have 3 connections. On that basis, do you think it would work for and active EMG pickup?
  5. As the previous jack was for passive electronics, should I be considered about wiring an active pickup to this?
  6. Thanks for reply. Let me double check, I'm sure the pickup wire is going to the volume pot. If you zoom in you will see. B
  7. I'm trying to fit a new EMG P pickup to a Warwick Adam Clayton bass with no success. I followed the accompanying diagram but still no luck? Another issue is the EMG output jack is a lot smaller than the stock Warwick one it comes with. Any ideas?
  8. £500 including postage for a new Sadowsky 👍
  9. Slightly under 9lbs. In comparison to other basses I own, it's fairly light. B
  10. Breaks my heart but due to a roof repair this rather lovely Sadowsky bass needs to go😔 Bought new 1 month ago and has sat in it's case unplayed. Completely new! I updated the pickup covers but will include the black ones in the sale. Bass will be securely packaged. Includes sadowsky soft case. Colour is stunning, candy orange with roasted neck and board. Any questions, please message me Free postage
  11. I'm looking to get a pickguard made for my Warwick CV Adam Clayton bass. Any recommendations?
  12. @Terry M. Seeing this as a production model would be lovely 😄 and as previously mentioned a run of BB3000 models. Possibly a few more finishes on the current BB line. Would it improve sales? No idea but I guess that's a gamble all Manufacturers take?
  13. I have noticed quite a few bands of late picking up the BB line so the exposure is out there. I'm sure the Stereophonics bass player started using them and Tony Kanal of No Doubt has been using them for years! I know Michael Anthony used them for a long time but seems to have jumped ship to Schecter at some point.
  14. All very good points which I agree with. However, it would be nice if they reissued the BB3000 as they are constantly in demand and would fly off the shelf. Their bass range has always attracted serious players but it does feel like their focus and energy is elsewhere. To your point.
  15. Maybe it's just me but I have always felt Yamaha are a bit on the slow side when it comes to new bass ranges (In comparison to other companies) Take the incredible BB line for example. Fans have been wanting a BB3000 reissue for years and the current BB line is slightly lacking finish options. Sorry, maybe it's just me. Rant over.
  16. Anyone had a play of one? I love the sparkle finish but have yet to see and actual photo of one.

  18. Shame. Was hoping it would be 17mm
  19. Does the string spacing feel quite wide?
  20. I really do wish they would release a 5 version without the fanned frets.
  21. These look really nice, with a rather nice finish. Shame this brand doesn't really create much 'noise' in the market place.
  22. These look rather nice! Great specs for the price. No online reviews as yet https://www.musicstore.com/en_GB/GBP/Fame-Custom-JB-4-Black-Paisley/art-BAS0012971-000
  23. The Sadowsky Will Lee Jazz is gorgeous! I had no idea he even played sadowsky basses? I also notice quite a few of his Warwick basses are getting moved on. It will be interesting to see if he starts playing any new basses next year.
