  1. I recently picked up a sadowsky metroexpress 4 and I'm looking to upgrade with a set of EMG. Now, the question is: can this be done? If so, should it be active or passive EMGs pickups to work with the existing sadowsky preamp? As I really only require the pickups, it will be a shame to discard of the EQ that all EMG pickups come with.
  2. Are there any bridges that are a direct fit on a sadowsky metroexpress? Looking to get a black finish. Yes, I know, Warwick are selling them, but it's a 12 week wait and slightly overpriced IMO
  3. In a nutshell, what is the difference between the metro express EQ compared to the U.S. Version? Is it just the VTC option?
  4. I purchased 2 from thomann that were so shockingly bad I had to return both of them. I think it's basically your luck with what you end up with on the first batch.
  5. At £170 I know it won't be great but could be good for a mess around bass.
  6. I'm currently looking at the various headless bass options under £200, but not sure if to order? Yes, I know AliExpress can be hi risk and obviously at that price the bass certainly won't be Fodera quality 😉 Anyone have any good or bad experiences ordering from here?
  7. Thing is, the bello model with EMGs and preamp came in at the same price as the standard version. Wish they switched them all to EMGs with a more straight forward preamp.
  8. Surprised there is still no videos of the new line of basses or namm footage?
  9. GuitarGuitar confirmed there are no further plans to stock this brand. Must be just a rest run to guage appetite
  10. Final reduction before I put in to storage or sell parts individually.

  12. They really do look brilliant. Was never a fan of the standard headstock but this version is killer! Step aside sterling by musicman.
  13. Price reduction. Stunning bass that needs to find a home
  14. Andertons have it listed on their website for £1000+. Probably because it's limited edition they can up the price slightly. If it came in at £700 I would think about it but not sure at 1k.
  15. Just over £1000? Slightly disappointing as I thought it would come in at roughly the £700 mark
  16. 9.5 radius? I'm sure the older SB14 version had a 12 inch radius? If the price point is good I may well purchase one
  17. What's the weight like?
  18. Yep, that's the exact bass! Before any decision is made I will be calling up to discuss. I agree, the specs listed do not match but that looks like a copy paste error. I think the usual resale price for a MTD Grendel 4 is between £400 - 600 so it is at the top end but does look like a nice bass
