  1. Has anyone tried the latest run of sadowsky metro express basses? Worth the cost at £899? Similar to the previous run, they seem to be generating very little online interest, although I am seriously tempted to give them another shot. Wouldn't be surprised if they are heavily discounted in the coming months.
  2. Bass direct, A Euro or Korean version is definitely the best option before it hits the market.
  3. As previously mentioned, when the bass is officially announced and specs shared, I think Spector could be on to a winner. I much prefer this headstock compared to the Coda, but the big question will be the price point. From a previous post, this is a prototype bass so no doubt some elements will change, although I don't think they need to 😉
  4. Sadly like a lot of recent Spector models, I think the pricing will come in at £2000+ .Prove me wrong Spector! All his previous sig models (There have been quite a few) all came in for under a grand (Fender, Charvel, ESP)
  5. I agree somewhat with what you are saying. To me, it kinda looks like a variation on the Coda bass but taking inspiration from his previous Charvel/Esp models. I like the body shape and new headstock but it's certainly not screaming Spector! If it comes in at £1000 Ish pounds it maybe quite popular but if it goes for anything more, it may be a hard pass.
  6. Not quite what I was expecting but I really like it!! It will be interesting to see what price these come in at?
  7. They do look wonderful, just surprised there is very little in the way of reviews or marketing.
  8. Yes, they look great, but the basses seem to have generated very little interest in the bass community. Probably not helpful when the brand seems to do very little marketing 😁
  9. Very little online review wise of these basses. They look quite nice. Anyone got one? Certainly a lot cheaper than a Warwick.
  10. Well, this looks rather nice!!! https://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/product/240911429338008--squier-fsr-classic-vibe-60s-jazz-bass-olive-indian-laurel-finge
  11. Who knows, maybe we will see a metro express version in the future? I do like the look of a matching headstock
  12. Did he not use EMGs in his sadowsky basses? I may be wrong on that
  13. WOW! Showing as in stock but nothing else on the net about them? Can't wait to see actual proper images of these basses.
  14. Am I the only one who prefers the newly designed headstock of the Z series? Honestly, this headstock should be on all the other models!
  15. Got very excited by the Mb F1 Navigator 4 until I realised the price £1500+ 😁
  16. Thanks. Passive EMGs it is!
  17. I recently picked up a sadowsky metroexpress 4 and I'm looking to upgrade with a set of EMG. Now, the question is: can this be done? If so, should it be active or passive EMGs pickups to work with the existing sadowsky preamp? As I really only require the pickups, it will be a shame to discard of the EQ that all EMG pickups come with.
  18. Are there any bridges that are a direct fit on a sadowsky metroexpress? Looking to get a black finish. Yes, I know, Warwick are selling them, but it's a 12 week wait and slightly overpriced IMO
  19. Maybe it does, I'm honestly not sure?
  20. In a nutshell, what is the difference between the metro express EQ compared to the U.S. Version? Is it just the VTC option?
  21. I purchased 2 from thomann that were so shockingly bad I had to return both of them. I think it's basically your luck with what you end up with on the first batch.
  22. At £170 I know it won't be great but could be good for a mess around bass.
  23. I'm currently looking at the various headless bass options under £200, but not sure if to order? Yes, I know AliExpress can be hi risk and obviously at that price the bass certainly won't be Fodera quality 😉 Anyone have any good or bad experiences ordering from here?
