  1. I don't need another G&L despite how much I want it; I don't need another G&L despite how much I want it; I don't need another G&L despite how much I want it;
  2. Once, a long time ago, in the late 90s/early 200s, I went to see Monaco play at the Manchester Uni Student Union. Earlier I'd bought a 12" of Blue Monday. My girlfriend of the time and I went to the pub across from the venue, and we noticed Hooky and the rest of the band, and his kids (the lad I then saw playing bass for Smashing Pumpkins a few years ago, but he was just a boy then), sat at a table. My girlfriend went to say hello and get the 12" signed, and Hooky invited us to sit with them - Which we did for hours, chatting. The band went off for soundcheck leaving us with their very Manc roadie telling us stories about him stealing generators from the Buzzcocks and lots about Joy Division (I was a very big fan at the time). They put us on the guest list (probably saving us about £13) and at the end of the gig the drummer and keyboardist carried on playing and Hooky came and stood with us at the front of the gig. On the way out Mark E Smith told me to f*** off. Sorry to go off on a tangent, I'd completely forgotten about that, but this picture triggered the memory. He was a very down to earth guy who just wanted to tell funny stories and play his gig.
  3. Absolutely what Dave says above, this takes me back to being a teenager and I’m in.
  4. I bought some strings from Paddy. Hassle free, lots of communication, everything on time and well packaged. Couldn’t ask for more.
  5. I like it too, it has razzmatazz.
  6. "Creation" I believe. Japanese.
  7. That's an unbeatable price, if I hadn't just bought a l2500 I'd be all over this.
  8. I have one too, I really like it,
  9. Oh for a second I thought this was the extension cab and was about to immediately pounce. i have one of these and it’s an amazing amp. It’s very loud: Volume at 3 to compete with a drum kit and two fender twins, it sounds lovely and round, but has more shaping than I’ve ever had cause to use. They also never come up for sale.
  10. I bought Chris’ G&L L-2500 and the transaction was flawless from start to finish. Excellent communication, speed, packaging, frequent updates on the courier. Everything as described (actually think much nicer in real life)! Would buy again and with absolute confidence.
  11. I hovered over buying this and 100% would have if I didn’t already have a JB that I love (and which I paid considerably more for). This is an excellent bass and an excellent price, and I might still end up buying it…
  12. Show us your G&Ls! I mean I already have a JB, JB-2 and an ASAT, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want more.
  13. I keep coming back to look at this. Will somebody buy it please!
  14. Maximum use of space. Though now I look at a picture I see wonkiness, and I need a right angled Jack adapter to access the non xlr output of the microbass. Gigrig on the underside for power. Tuner is always on so that the guitarist can see what note I’m playing :).
