Accroding to this ad http://www.gak.co.uk...rst-maple/75866 it's honeyburst
Nice colour... and that scratch plate lifts it. A special special...
2. ... ah, that'd be a dead give away then.
3.
When you're buying secondhand, how do you know whether the MIA bass you're buying is an American Special or an American Standard?
Physically I think the neck profile is slightly different ... I think you'd notice if you played them side by side, but playing one of either on their own, some people might struggle to feel the difference.

This is the first version and is modelled on Paul Cochrane's more expensive "Timmy" pedal. It's a great sounding pedal, but it's not being used. It needs to go to someone who'll use it regularly. 9. If you're looking at MIM Jazzes. there's a fiesta red roadworn jazz over in the for sale section - with a hard case. The roadworns are bleedin' marvellous especially at 2nd hand prices. Definitely worth a look.
10. I've been using Fender Meguiars Mist & Wipe (4oz) on a roadworn J-bass with no ill effects. http://www.stringsdirect.co.uk/p/918076/fender-meguiars-mist-wipe-4oz/?utm_source=googlebase&utm_medium=pricecomp&utm_campaign=GoogleShopping
11. 1/4 Pounders. Got a relatively unused set kicking around - PM me and we can figure out a reasonable price, if you want them.
12. If it's in stock, then they're pretty quick - ordered some stuff Friday PM and got a text Saturday saying all despatched.
13. Playing with a kicking horn section is great. You'll have a blast - go for it!
14. Hey - thanks for listening and making the change.
15. I had the same dilemma when I got one of the Roadworn nitro finished Fenders. I've been using a Hercules "neck grab" stand for 6 months and not seen any bad side effects.
16. Ramones 1977 with me playing the part of Dee Dee :-)
17. I really miss the conversational aspects. Yes there were quite a few "wish I had the dosh" type comments, but in amongst all of that I learned so much from the interaction between the buyers and sellers - as well as the interested parties who might not have had the cash, but did have the knowledge. That's the one thing I don't like about Gumtree - no interaction. Another thing I'm finding is a bit of a pain is if I click on the features or questions tabs, they are effectively new pages - so to get back to the full listing I've now got to hit back a few times or find the classified button at the top, get the full list, select the filters etc.... so it seems like you've introduced more clicks. So... not quite working for me yet.
18. Are the custom shop pickups something different from these? Link to amazon Which at one point I'm pretty sure were called the '60s pickup?
19. Cool - thanks. Had to revert to the mobile version, so missed the thread.
20. Logging on to BC this evening and google chrome flags up a Malware warning. Kutyabarat.com is named as one of the domains hosting the malware and secfbicheker.com is stated to be an intermediary. Anyone else got the same problem?
21. Ah... just seen the note about problems on Android phones as well... work being done.
22. Anyone else having problems with the iPhone version of Basschat right now? I seem to only be able to view the full version, which is a bit of a pain on a tiddly screen... tried clearing history, cookies etc but it seems to default to that version now. Seems to have happened on Weds. Cheers
