RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE

On a slight tangent , I have a few CDs of Me First And The Gimmie Gimmies . Marvellous and hilarious on first few listens , but some things are too 'American ' and may be lost on younger listeners as they may not know a lot of their catalogue . To describe them , I'd say they're kinda pop punk in the style of offspring , but very talented . Nice bass playing too. If I was still into playing in bands, I wouldn't mind doing something similar .

yes granted . 🙂 It was more of a memo to myself, as I and others have contributed to old threads in the past and they soon died off again . That's why I deleted my previous post here . Apologies to all offended . I will probably checkout the recommendation should I get the enthusiasm to do so 🙂

Thanks for the suggestion . I do know rock BTW 🙂 . I have and have had stuff from cannibal corpse to Celtic frost etc . I may checkout your recommendation though at some stage . Having said that , Pavarotti was cool and I have watched the three tenors on tv 👍 🙂

Coffee ☕️table back in spare bedroom . It was bugging me this morning 🐞 I'd say that the only real way to have the setup that woukd work in the living room , woukd be for me to have a moog sound studio which would fit on the display unit. only one mains adapter which is a plus . . A new Mac mini would be possible as mentioned earlier.. However , I already have the grandmother and dfam so that would be pointless . still , it was worth a try .

I think tomorrow will be a busy day cleaning carpet , and picking up the spaghetti cables everywhere also 😺

Dings / dents / at back of the neck would probably affect resale value imho . That's assuming you may want to sell in the future . You never know . On a slight tangent , I've seen a few reviews of Ibanez basses with similar necks ( the headless basses in particular) where reviewers such as Low End Lobster 🦞 weren't overly impressed with Ibanez quality control . Apparently , they're mainly manufactured in the Cort factory among other brands but iI stand to be corrected . i think you did the right thing returning it due to description , but the bigger discount seems to be evident now due to ' imperfections'. The fingerboard you could possibly live with, but the neck issue would be nagging away at you over time .

Anyway , regarding potential tragedy regarding my back ; I went to a gig at the Brixton Academy back in the '90s with a work associate . He decided he wanted to go to Tower Records in Piccadilly . Fair enough. We had a skinful . On going down some concrete steps on the way out , I slipped ! I didn't fall forward , as I was trying to not to look too inebriated , 🤦🤦so my back hit a few steps . Yes, I was in agony, and it was in the solar plexus area . I was very lucky . I struggled into work next day . Having to move around like John Wayne for a few days was painful and problematic obviously . As I say, I was lucky . Those of you who have bad backs have my sympathies.

But but ..it was like that from new . 😬
