    MGBass

Had myself a custom bass built. Beautiful!
  2. Thought I'd share my latest groove https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wn80W9nB2kc
  3. Latest bass instrumental
  4. Leschirons I was exactly where you are now about 3 months ago in terms of recording knowledge etc. Mcgiver69 gave me some great advice, in particular to use Tracktion 7. His advice was spot on for what I (and you) will need to get results quickly and simply. I beleive Tracktion 7 has been taken over very recently, so I'm guessing it won't be available free for too long

    Monitors

Noob looking for straightforward small monitors for my incredibly simple set-up. Small and decent rather than quite big and awesome. Budget not really an issue. Any suggestions?

    funk!

    messing with a funk groove
  7. d'you know, My vigier (kept in the same room) refuses to go out of tune! I play it hard every day and I haven't needed to re tune it for many many months
  8. Does it tie in with number of basses built?
  9. Ooo, hadn't ever noticed the number at the base edge of the bass. What's that mean?
  10. Passsive. Active is on the side sounds cleaner when playing through that little practice amp
  11. Loopchemist. OMG -someone with an identical bass as mine! Bought mine in 84/85. Played it 'till '93 until it hibernated for 25 years. brought it (and me) out of retirement a few months ago.
  12. Ah good. something simple that does the job is absolutely fine. Thanks
  13. If one buys the Focusrite Scarlet interfaces, does it come with DAW software bundled. And if so, which one and is it just a 30 day thing or completely free?
  14. Aha, thanks. Does it make them strange to play? And maybe it makes no real sound difference to a 4-string
  15. Nice story. It shows you that sometimes you have to let yourself be open and let the baby come to you
  16. Stylon Pilson -agree with your points. We'd be good shopping together! LOL
  17. Well, having now spent some time looking around at what's available these days, I've narrowed down my shortlist of basses that excite me enough to want to try them in the hope that they sound as good as they look
  18. I realise that having this prejudice might mean I miss out on an outstanding bass to play, but I just can't pick one up...not even make eye contact with it
