Thanks for being condescending, I can and have read this. This guy made most of his money from pretending to play guitar, therefore to take his income is to take money he has made by pretending to play guitar. If the problem is if the 'theft' of gear iwhy is the majority of the content about his passing off playing and writing music as his own ? also again I'm no lawyer but to me theft would be if the guitar was not given but loaned...ie can i borrow your lawnmower, i then sell it. Thats theft. This may be more a case of "Can you give me that lawnmower you have made for free as i review lawnmowers, its my property i can then sell it and its not fraud, If i agree to review it then its possibly gained under false pretences (which may be fraud and theft) but that would depend on the detail such as I'll review it by 2024 etc.. certainly breach of contract, which again would be a civil matter...but definately morally wrong Jonny

This is was my solution in the studio…

At the moment it’s a very pillowy bass It’s a plywood zeller. I’ll have a closer look on Monday when it’s out of the studio. If I can’t figure it it’s a trip to the luthiers… Jonny

Helpfully (or not) it happened in the studio, the engineer and I found it went away if we increased pressure (just a little) on the back, near the treble side, roughly opposite the bridge..thanks to a cushion and a battery pack holder for a wireless mic we eliminated the rattle for the session…I’ll check the tuners and endpin in the studio tomorrow… jonny

I did think AI would be able to do this but why would you pay someone else to have AI do it for you, my point was if someone tells me they have no music theory knowledge, then they cant be transcribing anything, they must be using someone/something else to do it. Its like me saying I have never had a flying lesson, then showing you footage of a plane flying, i clearly cant have flown it as I dont know how to. Jonny

wait he claims to write music that he's shared as his and has done this without any knowledge of music theory at all, and his fans believe this? I mean i have only heard small snippets but i am not sure i'd find that claim in itself credible. He seems like a very unsavoury character, and the way the worlds going with social media and music, he wont be the last. Jonny

Why does Scott Devine hate Sadowsky basses?
jonnybass replied to TheGhostofJaco's topic in Bass Guitars
From the few videos I have seen they seem to focus on a sound, era, song or player. I guess Sadowsky havent hit that point with them yet. But you could say that about many builders, Mike Lull, Gus, Mayones, Marleux, Warwick are a few that spring to mind. Its entertainment with a tiny sprinkle of knowledge is how i see it so i dont always pay that much attention to what they have been up to if I am honest. Jonny -
Have you ever fell out of love with an awesome bass?
jonnybass replied to AngeR's topic in Bass Guitars
I’ve owned 3 stingrays over the last 30 years, 2 five strings and a four. Absolutely lusted after them since the mid 90’s. All were great to play and for workhorse live basses they are great. But I have played other peoples, and I’ve played ones in shops that all played better than mine and as such all have been moved on. I think in terms of the four, I didn’t spend long enough playing it live to get used to the sound and how it would work for me. jonny -
Beautiful bass

All licensed premises in England, Scotland and Wales are required by law to provide free water to their customers upon request. Although they can charge for a glass and service.

I agree but I dont always think the value is 'cash based' it may be listening and enjoying your original music for example. Jonny

For me it depends on the reason I am in the band and what the band is being asked to do "whats in it for me". I used to play in covers/tribute bands, I would expect to get paid for these gigs I am there to play and hopefully make money. At the same time I have played in a jazz trio, again this was covers, we'd rock up play standards in a pub every fortnight. Our pay was £40 for a taxi and 6 pints (2 each). Never expected a penny and usually the fee covered our taxis home. I was doing this to experience playing jazz standards live. Also played in originals (still do) bands, never expect payment its about playing music i want to play, and people coming is a bonus, unless someone is selling tickets with our name on it and they have sold allot (its not happened often) where I'd expect the band to be paid. In all of these bands any money earned is put back into the band and no one ever takes a cut for themselves. So to the OP I play live to get something from the gig, given how i balance my music it generally wont be money. But before I join a band I will know 'whats in it for me' and thats why I'lll play with that band. Jonny
