  1. I used to have a Boss ES8 and it was amazing! If anyone is on the fence about buying this, just do it! £300 is a steal for this.
  2. From my memory I was using mainly a Black Russian big muff and a animato for that muse tone. It all just sounded a bit too coloured for me by the amp but I guess that's why the muse bassist uses markbass!
  3. I had one for a couple of weeks but just didn't get along with sound of it, it didn't seem to take pedals particularly well either in my experience. I sold it on rather soon after getting it to fund buying a house. I later got an Ashdown CTM300 which I had for good while and that to me was a much superior amp and sound and made in the UK so you get the great Ashdown customer service! Additionally I found a brilliant condition Ashdown 810 for just £250 to match with it which was heaven. After I left my band though I sold that too and sometimes regret that a lot.
  4. I ventured down to Sheffield to try out and likely buy a 2nd hand American professional II P bass for £1500 which I thought was a great deal with the hardcase. But I saw one of these squires while I was there and thought I'd give it a try and compare the 2. I ended up walking away with the squire! I can't believe how good these basses are, they sound and feel phenomenal, the rolled edges on the frets make it so comfortable. I now don't see the need for spending the £1500+ on an American one. 5. I had the original version of this comp, is there any difference in this new one other than the paint job? I loved the original, great compressor
  6. Still available?
  7. Regularly regret selling my DBS setup. Had a 7400 with the matching DBS 2x15. Weighed a tonne but was worth the effort.
  8. Oooops I’ll fix that

  12. A very sad and reluctant sale, no longer in the band I bought this to use for. Sounds absolutely phenomenal but I just have 0 use for it now sadly. CAB NOT INCLUDED collection from Grimsby offers potentially welcome depending on the offer.
  13. Thanks Walshy, wish I didn’t have to get rid of it but can’t justify keeping it. I might get a little CTM30 or 15 for home use though
  14. Selling my setup due to leaving my band, will not be doing any other musical ventures anytime soon so this is really no longer required sadly. Head comes with a soft case and a speakon cable, additionally with some spare bulbs for the VU meter. I only got to use it for 1 livestream Christmas gig last year and a handful of rehearsals so has barley been used. I can’t describe how amazing this and and cab sound together, I’ll be sad to see it go. due to no longer being in a band I’m not really interested in any trades. it is currently stored away at my rehearsal room but will be getting it moved to my house Hopefuly this weekend 24/04/2021 £1000 collection only from grimsby CAB NOW SOLD offers welcome
  15. For sale is my Russian big muff with 9V mod. Comes with original box. now £125 wish I didn’t have to sell this but needs must.
  16. Would any CTM100 owners be interested in swapping theirs for a CTM300 plus cash my way? Really don’t want to let it go at all but can’t justify keeping it at the moment with the way the world is:(
  17. Can always owt for the CTM30 or little stubby maybe ?
  18. I think it’s about 60kg but it’s not too difficult to move with the wheels. It’s definitely a two man lift though
  19. My first outing tonight with the CTM300 and the 810, it sounded amazing I’m totally converted to valve amps finally!
  20. I wouldn't really want to spend anymore on it than my main bass costed as I won't be using it nearly as much. so I guess £500 or less
  21. Would absolutely love a status but unfortunately money is an object for me
  22. Hi all, been looking into buying a 5 string sometime soon as it make playing some of my bands new material a lot easier. I’ve no opportunity to try any out due to where I live and COVID. I’ve only ever really played Jazz basses so would like something with a similar neck. The obvious choice would just be a 5 string jazz but I’ve heard that they’re often very lackluster so thought I’d ask the experts here!
  23. Thanks guys!😊
