  1. https://ampeg.com/products/venture-bass-amplifiers/ Looks like ampeg has a new lineup coming out called the Venture Series! Class D heads and lightweight cabs seemingly based on their recent SGT-DI pedal. Available spring 2024 New heads 1200w Venture v12 Head 700w Venture v7 Head 300w Venture v3 Head New cabs 210 410 115 112 212
  2. I got the blonde one back in February and it’s been my main bass ever since! Sounds incredible and the rolled edges and the fretboard are a game changer. It has taken the place of my fenders, I’m tempted to order the red one as a backup or to keep in an alternate tuning.
  3. Hahaha sadly not I have the skinniest arms around 😂 Compared to my old Ashdown CTM300, it’s just a lot lighter!
  4. Made the journey up to Newcastle today to pick-up this beauty! I am yet to try it out at a decent volume but I love the sound of it on my brief play of it earlier, I'll be able to give it a proper blast at rehearsal next week! I'll only be using this for my new Rock/Grunge band, I'll keep to using my Rumble 500 for session/dep work I think for ease. The Amp is surprisingly light though as is the cab.
  5. Apologies, English may be my first language but I’m still terrible at it hahah. This is indeed what I meant. I’d like to have the 610 match the v4b grill cloth. If that’s not possible then I’d ditch the 610 and use the 212. I’d never use both at the same time haha
  6. I’m looking at picking up an Ampeg v4b for a new band, I like the idea of pairing it with the 610hlf but the mismatched grill cloth would irritate me. Does anyone know where I could get a AV grill made for the 610? Otherwise I will just pair it with the matching 212av.
  7. My simple rig, depending on the set im playing, I also have a boss OC2 to add in after the LMB3 and I sit the sansamp on top of my amp.
  8. cheers mate, my signal is pretty minimal nowadays. My signal path is just the Squire 40th anniversary P bass shure wireless boss lmb3 Boss OC2 JAM Bass Rattler sansamp BDDI V2 fender rumble 500 combo
  9. I understand that yeah, I must say that the band I play for had all this PA equipment already as I have only recently joined them as I’m mainly a session player currently. I would agree that a PA is more important than a wireless unit! The cheaper units are absolutely fine and work well I think, I just feel a bit more confident and safe with the Shure unit.
  10. Worth every penny! We played 2 x 45 minute sets plus about another 10-15 minute encore and the battery indicator only when down by 1 LED from full. I won't have to charge it for another few gigs! The desk we use is a behringer euro power PMP4000.
  11. A clip from last nights show in cleethorpes with a function band I work with, had a wander into the crowd with the wireless!I tested it earlier on in soundcheck and the range is more than you’d ever need! IMG_7267.MOV
  12. The receiver is powered by my pedalboard power supply but it comes With a 12v PSU with a weirdly long but high quality cable

  14. Experienced session bass player available for gigs and studio work. Looking to take on more work, drop me a message if you’re in need of a bassist!
  15. Definitely, is sometimes better to front the money and get the best otherwise you’ll fall into the buy cheap, buy twice (or more) false economy
  16. You won’t be disappointed! It makes my old line 6 g30 look like a toy haha
  17. I had my first show last night with my new Shure GLXD16+. I had the transmitter just clipped to my back pocket as my levy’s pouch hadn’t arrived in time. I must say that the Shure is absolutely worth the money, the unit is absolutely solid with 0 issues for me last night, the tuner is brilliant and easy to see on stage. Would recommend the unit to everyone. We did a 45 minute set and the battery is still displaying as full, the battery has around 12-14 hours life apparently so I won’t really need to charge it again for quite a while! The unit syncs itself instantly so no waiting around awkwardly for it to sync. No noticeable delay/latency whatsoever. Amazing unit, If you’re on the fence, buy one!
  18. I have just ordered one of these ones, I'll be using this one instead as it is a right angle jack instead. The one provided is very high quality though but is a straight jack. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151008769692?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D777008%26algo%3DPERSONAL.TOPIC%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20221115143056%26meid%3D3017093d04864a3386613f0b464710bf%26pid%3D101612%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26itm%3D151008769692%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D4375194%26algv%3DRecentlyViewedItemsV2%26brand%3DNeutrik&_trksid=p4375194.c101612.m4236&_trkparms=parentrq%3A921986f51890a4f16f8bc610ffffcf4a|pageci%3A18ba8ef4-2bad-11ee-81b9-22f8284f7967|iid%3A1|vlpname%3Avlp_homepage
  19. I just got mine delivered about an hour ago and its absolutely solid, quite heavy and solid construction. The tuner is super accurate so my polythene is off the board and likely retiring now, I am doing an outdoor show later today so will report back how it goes! I have ordered a Levy's holster which should be here later so won't be here in time for the gig unfortunately so will either have it on the strap or in my back pocket.
  20. I wouldn't mind it if I was using a bass where the jack input isn't on the front maybe. I don't like the idea of a dongle getting caught on something and causing damage, is a lot harder to do with a normal right angle jack.
