I tend to hoard stuff on the premise that “it’ll come in useful someday”.
So I have amps in Class A/B, Class D, power-amps and separate pre’s.
My back tells me that a small pedal-board, IEMs and DI is the way to go for me………….but I do get nostalgic for trouser-flapping “heft”.

Apparently he learnt piano for a major film and is an accomplished guitar player and cello player as well. Some talent!

I gave them a go……..and with a similar reaction as @meterman was impressed. Price/quality is OK.
I put them on a “beater” instrument just for curiosity and they’re still on there and are holding up. Tension is fine.

Another suggestion for the OP if in the market for another bass………….is a NS Design Radius bass. By design, it is more ergonomic than flat-backed instruments. Need to like headless basses though.

Peterson Strobe stomp mini pedal when I use a pedal board.

I didn’t know that they made instruments. That’s a new learning for me!
Back in the day I had a Fenton Weill amp/combo though.

Didn’t Fender themselves dabble with this (S1 switch) in order to allow Jazz players to run the pups in series and attempt a more Precision-like sound? Seem to recall it was in some mid 00’s instruments IIRC.

I’m favouring the P bass.

A true legend for me. I loved “Minder” theme tune.
Sad loss. R.I.P.

TC Unitune is great. Peterson strobe clip-on tuner is my favourite.

Been looking at the Rolls PM351 as an alternative non-digital option to my current set up, what has your experience been like with it?
I have one as a back-up in case of problems with my wireless kit. It does not have a limiter though, so I always worry about noise spikes (feedback or dropped microphones) with IEM’s and serious ear damage as a result. The Rolls PM351 is otherwise a great piece of kit though.

Amazing pieces of kit. I have one and have used it both in studio and live. It seems to add a little magic to any set up. Sounds immense.
GLWTS.

Yes. I had almost the same experience recently with the old Ace hit “How Long”. Dead simple and I just blanked when I approached playing it. Crazy!

We always carry our own extension leads and have a couple of RCD adapters if it's a venue we've not played at before or the sockets look dodgy

Absolutely normal to keep an eye on the site when on a trip. Why not?
