  1. That’s cool, I’ve always got a bass next to me in the living rooms, if it’s nearby I pick it up more often to noodle or practice things I’m learning
  2. Matumbi and Rock , check out part two at 3.31, you don’t hear this version very often and it’s got nice variations in the Bassline
  3. Looks interesting, I see the grounding strip on the bridge like my AV62, they are mentioned here , https://www.talkbass.com/threads/fender-branded-korean-e-series-jazz-bass.1016736/
  4. I don’t have any squires myself but I set one up for my nephew, yours looks really good and the fender rumble is a great amp, well done, I think you’ve got a good setup there
  5. I’d say more guitar based ,but it has a bass section and it’s ok
  6. Maybe ask in the Repairs and Technical section, I don’t know anything about electronics myself
  7. Listening again I think I prefer the Wayne wade one
  8. It was taken from one of Linval Thompson productions, Wayne Wades African Monica, not sure if Freddie McGregor did it too, it sounds like his style
  9. Was listening to the Anthony Johnson album Reggae Feelings today, its good rough dancehall style with Flabba on bass and the Roots Radics , my best track
  10. I was quite surprised how expensive the Gibsons were, the ripper was over £400 , I’ll show a pic later
  11. Your spot on ez ,
  12. I’ve got the Bell catalog from 77 , here’s the fender page

  17. Would that have been the price for a new one back then
  18. Going through some Bunny Wailer today, this hits the spot
  19. For anyone wondering about these, they are really great, I wouldn’t be without mine
  20. A cheap fender style bass sounds nothing like a 63 precision, or any vintage basses I’ve got or had, just my opinion
  21. Very cool, love it, I was watching one on eBay a while back, I like the maple and black blocks
  22. I’d be looking at a MIM fender, for that budget you will get a nice one, I’ve had so many and maybe I’ve been lucky but they were all good, and they are easily upgraded if there’s anything you wanted to , the classic 70s jazz is very nice and they do come up occasionally , I sold mine for around £500
  23. Really lovely setup there, congrats
