    I’m not generally a gold hardware person, but in this instance I think it matches the body wood colours very well, I like the design of the knobs too

    I think I understand what you’re saying Andy, My fender jazzes and precisions adjust both ways , but I could never quite get my 414 rod to work properly, I later found out that it had a fault

    Thanks Andy, so if the strings pull it forward, do you then tighten the nut to hold it there

    If the truss rod nut is completely loose, it would have back bow , right? wouldn’t tightening it with the strings on help, or is it not that sort of rod 🙂

    There’s many versions of the cuss cuss rhythm, it’s a great classic Bassline, here’s a few, the roots radics playing the second one, feel free to add any if you’ve got any

    Rock is not really my thing ,but I like putting my foot down and blasting these occasionally in the car

    Could it be that the rod is jammed ? I had a 414 with the opposite problem, with the strings off it had back bow but with the strings on it had a big concave bow

    I’m guessing you meant Beats, out of interest what makes you say that, I’ve used them since they came out and I have the newest ones, they were designed mainly for bass, I know they are expensive and get no love on here but just curious why you say avoid them 🙂

    I thought my gas had eased off with my recent purchase, but there’s a rather nice Marcus Miller jazz on the bay at the moment that keeps drawing me back 😁
