  1. I've got a Trace Elf to sell. I bought it new from GAK a few months ago really just to try one out. Only used it at home. Fabulously convenient but just not quite for me. Comes with the gig bag, kettle lead, the Trace box it came in, whatever documents were with it. £210 posted to mainland UK. Dropping this to £180. Not interested in trades.
  2. Bought a GK MB200 from Stuart. All perfect - couldn't ask for better!
  3. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 1 post to view.
  4. Jon bought a BF One10 cab from me. We sorted out collection arrangements easily and all smooth sailing. Recommended!
  5. Sold a BF Midget cab to Paul - all super easy. Recommended!
  6. Withdrawn from here. Now on ebay to get it sold.
  7. Here is an Eden WTX500 amp. 500w at 4ohms. Speakon and jack outputs. Comes with Eden bag. It's in a great condition except - maybe - for one thing. I'm not sure if the fan is working. I'm almost certain the fan used to come on when the amp was switched on. When I got it out today to give it a run before putting it up here for sale, it didn't come on. Have left the amp on for an hour or so but fan didn't come on. But it also didn't get that warm. So I'm not really sure if there is a problem with it or not. Amp still sounds great though. I've not really got the time to look into it and see if there is a problem thus the price lower than it would otherwise be. Approx dimensions: W20cm x D23cm x H6cm. Weight 2kg. Full spec here: https://www.edenamps.com/wtx500.html £200 includes shipping to UK mainland.
  8. Barefaced One10 with steel grill. Great condition. Comes with a cajon bag. Can't find the shoulder strap for the bag at the moment but if I do then you can have that. The covering on the back is showing a tiny bit of lifting (see close up pic - it is very little). I'm only selling as I've now bought a silver cloth version. £300 collected from London SE near Camberwell/Brixton, or £310 shipped to UK mainland.
  9. I’ve got a ticket going for Nick Cave etc at Victoria Park this Sunday. It’s a hard ticket so you’ll need to collect. I’m in central London (Russell Square) today (Tue 29th) and this eve in Holloway. Rest of the week in Camberwell / Brixton. I won’t post it. Gig is sold out. Face value of ticket is £67 incl booking fee.
  10. I’ve taken the plunge on buying a new super midget so some things have to go. Here’s the first. Midget-T cab. 12” plus tweeter. Steel grill front. In great condition. I bought it a couple of months ago from a basschatter. I’ve since added a new Roqsolid bag that has both carry handles and shoulder strap. The tolex on the cab has three small chips each about 10mm long, and one tiny one about 2-3mm. Plenty loud and sounds great. Will post pics later tonight or tomorrow. Pics now up. Full spec here https://barefacedbass.com/product-range/midget.htm At this stage collection only from London SE5, Camberwell / Brixton. Have now found a decent box and dropped the price by a tenner so it's £320 shipped to your door. Another £10 off if you want to collect from London SE5. Not interested in trades.
  11. Stuart bought a PSU from me. Pleasure to deal with and all easy. Recommended!
  12. Even in my limited use of it, yep, a good and surprisingly solid bit of kit. And now sold!
  13. Here is a cheap guitar, that comes with a cheap gig bag. It is exactly what you'd expect a cheap guitar to be so I won't bother with detailed description, other than to say it needs setting up properly. I bought it years ago as part of a package with a handy little Fender amp. Used the amp lots but never the guitar, so it is pretty much as it was when purchased. Two ways this can be yours: £20 if it's for you. Or free if you're willing to set it up and donate it to your local charity shop or a local organisation that helps young people out. I'd rather see it donated but there is no point donating something that isn't set up at least reasonably. Collection only from London SE5 near Brixton, London near Russell Square, or from York.
  14. Here's a power supply with 8 x 9v and 2 x 12v for pedals. Only been used at home for recording, and not used much even there. In the original box with all leads. £20 includes postage to mainland UK. Full specs on Thomann site here: https://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_powerplant.htm
  15. A few thoughts having gone through this ... I used an MB150S-III until about four years ago, sometimes with the GK extension cab added. The combo was 11kg, and the MBX112 extension cab just 5.5kg. I changed to a head & cab for physical convenience as I don't have a car and so getting around London for gigs the convenience factor was important. I changed to GK MB200 or an Eden WTX264 with the GK cab. It was worth changing as much lighter to get around with. And I could add a second extension cab and it was still all light and compact. One things to watch out for if taking that path: the GK cab only has one input so you can't daisy chain two of them. That means getting a head with two speaker outputs, which limited the options (eg, the MB200 has just one, as does TE Elf, and I think the TC BH250 and Nanomark also). The Eden was great though as it has 1 x speakon and 2 x jack outputs. Or buy a second cab than can be daisy chained. All in all, my experience was that if convenience is about lighter weight then the change from combo was worthwhile. For a light cab, the BF One10 is great (I'm a recent convert at 7/7.5kg) and the GSS 112 might be worth a thought at 8kg http://www.guitarsoundsystems.com/gss-single12-12-bass-cabinet-c2x20335127. Both those can be daisy chained. On ebay I just got £387 for the MB150 combo, in good shape and with a bag. I had it on here cheaper before that but pots needed a clean and I wasn't getting interest. But I'd reckon that's about right on ebay. But the MBS still sounded great ....
  16. Rob bought a P Bass from me. All a great and easy process. Easily sorted to meet up and handover, if all too brief! Thanks indeed.
  17. Getting some things sorted on a bank holiday weekend, here is my GK MB500 head with footswitch. Selling as surplus to requirements. A few scuffs from use but in great condition and plenty loud. 500w @ 4ohm 2 speaker outputs (both speakon) Footswitch with lead Lightweight - 1.7 kg (3.75lb) About 28cm(W) x 22cm(D) x 6cm(H, incl feet), using a tape measure. That's 10.75" x 9" x 1.75" according to the specs. Full specs on GK site: http://www.gallien-krueger.com/mb-500-specs/ £280 includes shipping with DPD (standard mainland UK only). It won't come with a kettle lead unless I can find a spare somewhere.
  18. This a great P Bass with a jazz neck. It is by the Bass Doc. I've only had it a couple of weeks. I had a plan you see! I'd buy this (with the jazz neck) and sell my CIJ P bass which I bought in Toyko in 2007 and is really nice. I don't play the P much any more as I've been playing an AVRI jazz for the last few years - love the jazz neck and it's a beautiful bass, but wanted the P sound again. So I bought this. It plays superbly and sounds better than my CIJ. But, when it came to putting the CIJ up for sale ... well, it has loads of sentimental value and I decided I don't want to let it go. And so here I am in the odd position of selling a great bass that was exactly what I wanted, and keeping one that's not as good. But there you go. I bought it for £550 and selling for £550. Comes with Fender gig bag. Would need to be collection from either London (SE5) or York but I can meet somewhere within reason, or if less reasonable then maybe an extra £10 or £20 to help with the train fare. It weighs about 3.5kg. Specs from original ad: Fender 62 reissue body Allparts Jazz neck with slab board Fender vintage bridge Antiquity pick up Bass Doc Tortie scratch plate Gotoh reverse tuners Fender neck plate OBBM loom D'addario 40 -100 nickel wounds Original thread, with pictures and with some absolutely spot on praise from previous owners:
  19. I had this on FS recently with crackly pots. Has been cleaned now and sounding perfect. Putting it up here for a couple of days before putting it on ebay on Monday (the £1 selling fee for the bank holiday weekend has got me!) I bought it new from GAK in 2008. Haven't played it much in the last few years, but recently used it for recording (DI and mic'd up) and sounds great. The Warwick Rockbag has carry handles as pictured and has the rings to attach a shoulder strap. I can't find a spare at the moment but will throw one in if I find one. A few inches of stitching are torn but makes no difference to strength of the bag. Collection in London SE5 (though can meet within reason) or can ship with DPD for an extra £20.
  20. Just received a speaker cable from Stealth today - all perfect!
