Thanks for all the advice and suggestions guys. From what has been said I think I would be better off looking for a second hand Stentor 1950 or similar rather than a new budget instrument. If anybody did have anything along these lines please feel free to pm me. Dave

Bought a 50's reissued p bass from Aaron. Great guy to deal with, good communication.

Does anybody have a confirmed schematic for a head phone amp suitable for bass and with an 'auxilary in' to be able to play along with drum or backing track? Something that can be built on perf board and run from a 9v battery.
