I was considering doing the blue and orange that I was going to use on my conversion but I because I'm doing the chequered pickguard I'm going to do it just orange maybe I'll do it on a different project 😀

Nope, it's definitely a bold choice of colour!! 😁

Just done a second coat in the top so I'll wait for it to dry till tomorrow then get it all back together 😀

Great minds and all that!! The colour I'm using is basically the same as Capri Orange but it's going to have the chequered pickguard 😀

Finally got round to do a setup on it! I definitely prefer playing this to my P but in my usual fashion I'm not happy with the finish so I'm going to refinish it Because I've got a thing for Orange at the mo I've decided to go for it I'll post some pics tomorrow 😀

If you don't have access to a laser printer I don't mind printing it off for you and posting it to you 😀

Yeah thats your problem inkjet ink is water soluble it won't work without a laser printer

Did you use a laser jet printer or a ink jet printer?

Thanks mate I keep on seeing the Steve Harris chequered bass so I thought I'd give it a go his is different it's White backed with a black pickguard but I thought the Orange just gives it something a bit different You just heat the vinyl with a hair dryer and stretch it round and it manages to keep the shape I love the chequerboard look I so I've decided to refinish my Jazz its either going to be White or Orange with chequered pickguard and black hardware??

That's one tasty looking bass!! What size nut are you using and what's the string spacing at the bridge? As I've just converted a P Bass from a 4 to a 5 string and was hoping it might be possible to do my Jazz aswell? 😀

Got the top on and all back together The strings are VERY close to the edge if the fretboard I had a little play up and down the neck and the strings didn't fall off the sides so it might be OK?? If not I will get a 5 string neck and do it that way instead, Just got to order my strings and then I can give it a proper go!?! 😀

I've never played a J&D bass but everytime I read the name I have a childest little chuckle to myself as 'Jack & Danny' means something completely different in rhyming slang to me! 😁 On a serious note how do they compare to HB basses for the same price? It's a shame that neither of the companies do a 5 string Jazz bass because aswell as favouring playing 5 string I'm preferring my Jazz to my P bass at the mo

Apart from the obvious that the 88's are tapewound and the Nexus are coated what's the difference between to two and how are they different sound wise?

I have looked at the roto nexus, are they the ones you've got or have you got the 88 flats?

I'm looking to change to some black tapewounds but I can only find the La Bella ones for about £45 a set which I can't stretch to as I'm only a bedroom player at the mo do you know of any cheaper but good sets??

I keep on looking at the sunburst version they are ridiculously cheap 😀
